FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER 2016

SPIRITUAL HEALTH:

We experienced God through our personal encounter with God and

shown our love towards others.

We had our recollection on 22.10.16 where we experienced the love of

God and decided to inspire others through our very presence.

Rev. Fr. Paulraj, Rector, Gunelian, Karayanchavadi was the resource

person for the day.

Day by day our knowledge towards the bible is increasing through reading

the bible one chapter everyday.

Now and then inspirational spiritual stories are told by our sisters which

increases our thirst for the spiritual life.

As this month is dedicated to Our Lady, we had a Special Rosary every day

in our community.

COMMUNITY LIFE:

“Community is our first mission.”

Sisters are happy in the community and doing their responsibility according

to their conscious.

We had relaxation and recreation from which we got the energy to our

mind and body, and this in turn strengthened our community life.

Sr. R. Teresa attended Animators meeting on 10.10.2016 to 15.10.2016 at

Amalabhavan and she went for the preparation for Jubilee celebration.

Sr. A. Sabeena has been appointed as an Administrator on 13.10.2016.

2 of our sisters went for the tour on 24.10.2016 which was organised by

the society.

Sr. Sabeetha participated in Juniors meeting at Joe beach from 17.10.2016

to 22.10.2016 organised by the society.

PASTORAL MINISTRY

We regularly take Catechism class at our Parish.

On 23.10.2016 Bible Sunday was celebrated at our Parish anonymously quiz

programme are conducted for the people and children. We the sisters took

initiative and organised the same.

INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT

We are developing our knowledge through various spiritual books,

magazines.

EDUCATIONAL MISSION

SEMINARS/ MEETINGS

We had regular working committee meeting everyday in the evening and there we

discussed about the day and next day’s activities.

Principal conducted a meeting for PET teachers on 07.10.2016.

Evaluation meeting was conducted for all the

teachers after the open day on 08.10.2016.

Mr. Anbazhagan went to T.I. Mat School, Ambattur

to attend meeting on 08.10.2016 regarding Aadhar

card, Cohort form, UDISE, EMIS etc.

On 14.10.2016 Mr. Karthik, Marketing manager

from Times of India newspaper and gave a talk about

reading newspaper and General awareness.

Mrs. Narelin from child help line conducted a

seminar on the topic “Child Abuse” for Std X & XII on

14.10.2016.

On 15.10.2016 meeting was conducted for the teachers of Std XII regarding the Tests,

Exams to be conducted.

Mr. Sakthivel attended IMS meeting on 15.10.2016 at IMS office, Thiruvallur.

On 14.10.2016 Mr. Xavier, Academic co-ordinator visited the school for class

observation and handbook corrections.

5 students from Std XI attended “One percent 2015 A day of mathematics”

at The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Taramani, Chennai.

o Interaction with professional mathematicians working at the cutting

edge of research.

o Learnt about cryptography and gravity waves

o Participated in quiz.

Tata class edge refreshers training for the PREKG & LKG teachers were

conducted on 22.10.2016.

Administrator, Principal, VP’S attended review meeting on 22.10.2016 at

DFT for effective preparation and discussion.

On 24.10.2016 Mr. Yusuf, representative from Pro–ability Pvt. Ltd.

motivated the students from VI-IX to participate in Young Achiever Talent

Test 2016.

On 27.10.2016 Dr. R. Palaniyandi, Director (QM), Sr. A. Jehani the

correspondent conducted meeting for all the Principal & Vice Principals.

Discussed about the Academic proficiency.

ACADEMIC

School re-opened on 03.10.2016 for all the classes PREKG to Std. XII.

Every evening Maths test is being conducted for Std X & XII slow learners for

their improvement.

On 08.10.2016 open day was conducted on 08.10.2016 (Sat) for all the classes

from LKG to Std. XII. 90% of parents attended the same and discussed about

their child’s progress in studies.

Holiday from 10.10.2016 to 12.10.2016 for Pooja & Vijayadasami.

Weekly test was conducted for Std X & XII.

Representatives from Aspire learning company conducted 1 hour Test based on

Biology, Physics & Chemistry for Std XI & XII on 13.10.2016.

Full working day was conducted on Saturday 15.10.2016 for all the classes.

Tuesday’s timetable has been followed.

Special class timing will be extended upto 6.00 pm for the slow learners of Std.

X.

Our school has been selected as a centre for Std XII Public board examination

from this academic year 2016 - 2017.

X & XII toppers paper can be exchanged and evaluated.

Full working day was conducted on 22.10.2016 (Sat). Wednesday timetable has

been followed.

Spell Bee Examination was conducted on 26.10.2016, nearly 66 students were

attended the same. Answer sheets were sent to Spell Bee on the same day.

AUDITION 2016

On 06.10.2016 Mr. Senthil Kumar Senior Executive

(Admission, Industrial Relations & Media - DFT) &

Mr. Sathish Kumar, Director of Madha TV channel

conducted the

Audition to select the

talented students to

telecast the show in

same channel. They are well satisfied and appreciated the

wonderful performance and the excellent talents of our

students.

On 07.10.2016 Mr. Senthil Kumar & Mr. Sathish

Kumar, came and gave instruction to the selected

students to telecast the show in Madha TV channel.

CHILDREN’S DAY COMPETITION

On 06.10.2016 Rhymes competition (Children’s day) was

conducted today for the PREKG students they all

performed well.

On 07.10.2016 Craft & drawing competition was

conducted for Primary (Std. I-V).

Drawing competition was conducted for PRE-KG

on 13.10.2016.

Thirukkural competition for Primary class was

held on (14.10.2016)

Drawing competition for LKG & UKG was held

on (14.10.2016)

English Elocution competition was conducted for

LKG students on 18.10.2016.

Craft competition was conducted for UKG

students on 19.10.2016.

Essay competition was conducted for Primary

level on 19.10.2016.

Craft competition was conducted for the students

of LKG on 20.10.2016.

English & Tamil Essay competition was

conducted for Std I-V on 20.10.2016.

English/Tamil Elocution finals conducted for Std

I-V on 22.10.2016.

English/Tamil Elocution, Role play, Instrumental

music, English word Puzzle, Suduko finals

conducted for VI-IX & XI on 22.10.2016.

CELEBRATION

Ayudha Pooja was celebrated in our school campus on 10.10.2016. All the

non-teaching staff participated in the same.

ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION

Teachers and office staff’s original certificate verification was done. Report has

been send to DFT on 21.10.2016.

VIJAYADASAMI ADMISSION

Admission was conducted for PREKG & LKG for Vijayadasami on

11.10.2016, we got 22 admission in PREKG and 5 in LKG.

OUTSIDE EXPOSURE

Students from Std XI & XII participated in Synergy 2016 organised by

Alpha Arts & Science College, Porur. Our students were awarded with the

shield & certificates. The winners list as follows:

THE HINDU NEWSPAPER – COMMERCE CLUB

1. Every Wednesday and Friday three questions will be displayed on the notice board.

2. The Wednesday questions will be based on, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays

“THE HINDU” NEWSPAPER.

3. The Friday questions will be based on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays “The Hindu”

Newspaper.

4. Box will be provided to drop their answer on Tuesday’s assembly, results will be

declared on the basis of lot, among the correct entries.

5. One winner will be selected each from Wednesday’s quiz and Friday’s quiz.

6. Winners will be awarded with a crown and cross belt.

MINI AUDITORIUM INAUGURATION

Fr. Antony Joseph, MMI blessed and inaugurated the mini Auditorium on 08.10.2016.

DEMO DURING ASSEMBLY

Students of Std. VI –IX demonstrated on the stage about “Perseverance can

make Miracle” on 17.10.2016.

On 26.10.2016 Students from Primary level conducted demo on how to

celebrate Deepavali in meaningful manner.

HEALTH AWARENESS

On 21.10.2016 Representatives from Procter & Gamble conducted awareness

programme for the girls of Std. VII & VIII. It was very informative and the

students interacted with them and also cleared their doubts.
