Floor cleaning a never ending task and is one of the most avoided chore at home. It's troublesome having to clean your floor from time to time. But there are actually tips and tricks that can make your job easier if not faster. In this article I will be discussing how to use vinegar solution in cleaning your floor, especially cleaning your laminate flooring.

    Vinegar for Laminate Floors

  • Introduction

    Cleaning the floor using white vinegar is the best alternative for harmful chemical cleaners. For laminate type of floors, damp cleaning is required because the board will warp water easily and will cause it to buckle.

  • That is why white vinegar (diluted) is the ideal cleaning agent for laminate floors because it can easily remove stains and dirt off the floor. Furthermore, white vinegar solutions will also turn dull looking floor into shiny and lustrous laminate flooring.

  • To Apply White Vinegar To Laminate Flooring Here Are The Steps That You Need To Follow:

  • Steps One

    Prepare a 32 ounce spray bottle and fill it with one-fourth cup white vinegar. Fill the rest of the bottle with water and shake to mix.

  • Steps Two

    Wipe the floor with dust mop to remove dust particles and dirt out of the floor.

  • Steps Three

    For every 3x3 foot area of the floor, spray it with vinegar. Do this by starting at the far end of the room and moving towards the door step.

  • Steps Four

    On ever area that you spray the vinegar, wipe it with a clean damp mop to remove the vinegar together with the dirt.

  • Steps Five

    Continue with this process until you finish cleaning the entire floor area.

    After you have wiped all the area of the floor, wipe it dry with a clean rag.

  • Except for marble floors, vinegar solution can also clean hardwood floors, tiles vinyl and other type of hard surface floors. To clean these types of floors, simply follow the steps below:

    To start, mop the floor with water to remove dust and dirt on the surface of the floor.

  • Steps Two

    Mix 3 cups of vinegar with 1 gallon of warm water into a bucket and mix the solution well.

  • Steps Three

    Mop the floor again but this time damp the mop with your vinegar and water solution.

  • Steps Four

    After you mopping the entire floor with the vinegar solution, rinse the mop and bucket with pure water and fill the bucket again with warm tap water.

  • Steps Five

    Let your floor dry afterwards. If its suitable for the type of floor you have, apply wax polish to make it even more shiny and sparkling.

  • After applying the vinegar solution and when rinsing the vinegar off your floor, see to it that you will not use wet the floor too much. Too much water on the mop will spread the vinegar rather than remove it from the floor.
