Prayer for Vocations

Lord, grant to our young men and women The generosity necessary to

Follow your call and the courage required To overcome all obstacles to their vocations.

Give to parents that faith, love And spirit of sacrifice that will inspire Them to offer their children to God’s

Service and cause them to rejoice In their call. Let your example

And that of your Blessed Mother And St. Joseph encourage

Both children and parents, and may our Parish encourage and support them

With our prayers. Amen

NO MORNING MASS JUNE 27!

Summer means traveling for our Dominicans! Both Fr. John and Fr. Patrick will be out of town the week of June 25. There will be no morning Mass on Wednesday, June 27. Our regular Mass schedule will resume the following week. Please keep our Domini-cans in your prayers as they travel.

“WONDER BAGS” are available for young chil-dren to use while at Mass. The bags can be found in the west stair well (the exit behind the cry room). We hope the contents in the bags help our

youngest Catholics wonder and relax into the Mass!

Lost...and Found! On the evening of June 2, Tom Lenahan lost his be-loved eight year old Jack Russell mix, Josie. To make matters even worse, he had just moved and none of the information on her dog tags were correct. Many parishioners helped search the area where she was last seen, but there was no sign of her.

After a sleepless night, Tom went to the Animal Shel-ter praying that someone had found her and turned her in. He filled out all the paperwork for a missing dog and gave them a flier he had printed up. As he was walking out, a young man stopped and asked Tom what he flyer was for. When Tom showed him the picture, the man’s jaw dropped.

“That’s the dog my girlfriend rescued last night!”

Tom and Josie were reunited an hour later.

Children’s Memorial Garden Originally dedicated in 2006, the Children’s Memorial Garden had suffered the effects of twelve years of Indiana weather and was no longer the lovely gar-den it was intended to be.

Thanks to the amazing dedication and hard work of volunteers and professional landscapers, the garden is once again a welcoming site for peaceful prayer and contemplation.

The Children’s Memorial Garden will be re-dedicated on Saturday, August 11, following the 4:30pm Mass. All are welcome to attend.

If you would like to add the name of a child now living in heaven to the program for the re-dedication cere-mony, please send the child’s name to our parish sec-retary Valli, at [email protected] by July 15. Thank you.
