week.Thekidshadalotoffunwiththe“Shipwrecked�RescuedbyJesus”theme�andeven

learnedafewthingsintheprocess!Eachdaytherewasa“Biblepoint”.Forinstance:“Whenyou’re

lonely…Jesusrescues!”TherewasalsoaBiblestoryeachday.Inkeepingwiththethemeofbeing

lostatsea,thefirstday’sstory,forexample,includedJesus’sparablesaboutlostthings(Luke15).

Eachdaytherewasa“keyverse”tomemorize,suchas,“TheLordwilltakemeup”(Psalm27:10).�

Eachdaythechildrenrotatedbetweenfivedifferent“stations”wheretheysawaBiblestoryacted

outbyTheresaSimeoandherteamofhighschoolyouthvolunteers;theyconstructedinterestingsnackswithaprayerand

lessonrelatedtotheday’stheme,learnedaBibleverse,dida

craft/demonstrationaboutthelessonfortheday,played

gamesrelatedtothethemefortheday,andwatchedavideo

withrealkidswhotalkedabouttheirencounterswithChrist.�It

wasalotoffun,butrequiredalotofvolunteersandalotof

effort,soagreatbigTHANKYOUtoallwhoworkedsohardon

thisyear’sVacationBibleSchool!�

AtallMassesthisweekend,therewillbeasecondcollectionforthePeter’sPenceCollection.�OurparticipationsupportsthecharitableworkofPopeFrancisashereachesouttothosewhoaremarginalizedandsuffering

aroundtheglobe.Bysupportingthiscollection,youjointheHolyFatherinbringingalittlemoremercyintotheworld.�
