intention or in memory/honor of a loved one. An intention form may be found in back of church and can be placed in the collection basket or

dropped off at the office with a $5 donation.

Mass intentions for 2020 are still available, if you would like to request a Mass, please contact Jenn at the

be accepted. Thank you.

Are you being called to serve? St. John is looking for additional Eucharistic ministers, lectors, altar servers, and money

counters. None of these require a huge commitment, schedules are always accommodated and it is great to have extra help, especially during summer months! If you are interested in volunteering for any of theses ministries, contact Jenn at the office and arrangements can be made. Thank you!

2019 Contribution Statements Financial statements for 2019 were mailed out this past week to all households who made recorded financial contributions in 2019. If you do not receive one and have made donations, or have any questions, please contact Jenn at the office.

starting this week! Please join us!

St. John’s hospitality group would like to invite parents to something new! While your children are in Children’s Faith Formation class (9:45-11am), stop down to the social hall and have a cup of coffee, chat with others, read a pa-per, or whatever you like. Rather than driving back home and back again for pickup, stop down and hang out.

We thank the Lord for a wonderful March For Life trip in Washington DC! He kept everyone safe and the weather was warm for January. For the first time in the history of the March, our President attended and spoke in favor of Pro-life! This year more people attended than at any other time. We pray this will make an impact on the laws of this land. May the heart of our people, legislators, and judges hearts return to the Lord so that we protect life at all stages, as we are made in the image of God. We also want to extend our thanks to Cecilia Love for all the time and work she invested to make it an amazing Pro-Life trip. She has been so dedicated to Pro-Life ministry, serving as the 40 Day Vigil shift manager in Pittsburgh, praying at the Planned Parenthood, and reaching out to those who are seeking help. Thank you, Fr. Jim Kurtz for a long day of Apostolic shepherding, opening up the church at 5:30, saying Mass, leading us in prayer and blessings throughout the day, right up to our return to church at 11:30pm. We also thank John Sanders for being willing to lead us in a beautiful time of praise and worship and the witness of his faith. We so appreciate his time and gift! We thank the Knights of Columbus, Christian Mothers, St Luke's Church in Cabot and St. Joseph Church Members for being supportive to pray and donate for the cause. God bless all of you! Brian and Providence Hartle

Mercy Meal Update

A heart felt thank you to everyone who responded to the plea to help with the funeral luncheons! There will be a meeting for the new committee on February 13th at 7pm in St Joseph’s Hall. This is open to both men and women. There is a caterer in place and it is important to note that we will not be doing any of the cooking. This meeting will be a great opportunity to learn more about the luncheons and how we intend to move forward with this very important ministry. Please contact the office if you would like to be involved, but can’t attend the meeting.

SoulCore Exercise for Body, Mind & Soul!

Would you like to be more flexible and stronger? Do you desire to grow in virtue and interior peace? How would you like to do so while praying and meditating upon the mysteries of the Holy Rosary and Scripture? The SoulCore movement might be just what you are looking for! Come and join with us at St. Joseph’s Hall on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:30 pm. You are encouraged to bring a mat if you can get down onto the floor or we can get a chair for you. You can bring weights or bands if you want to be especially challenged. But don’t be intimidated! This program is for anyone at any level. The main focus is on the virtues and mysteries of the Rosary. The exercises are meant to enhance the prayers and should be adjusted to whatever you can do. Honor your own body! The instructors lead us through the prayers and workout in a video. The lights are dimmed, candles are lit and music is playing in the background to create a prayerful environment. We hope you can join with us! It’s a great way to begin the New Year. There is no cost. Just show up and surprise us! If you are coming for the first time, you may want to arrive ~15 min early to view a short introductory video. If you would like more info or would like to receive text messages to make sure we are meeting, please contact Cil at 724-822-0614. You can also check out the SoulCore website at www.soulcore.com to learn more about this movement.
