When, for any reason, we cannot participate in Mass, the Church invites us to unite with Christ through this prayer of Spiritual Communion. Praying this prayer is a beautiful way to

unite our hearts to Christ's when we cannot receive him physically in the Eucharist.

St. Mary’s Fish Fry Profit

Although our Fish Fry season was cut short,

our volunteers worked hard and long at

making our Fish Fry a success. Through their

dedication, the Fish Fry made a profit of

$25,115. It goes without saying that St.

Mary’s Parish is

very grateful for

the efforts of all

involved with this

fundraiser.

Thank you!

The food bank is stocked and anyone in need is encouraged to accept this assistance. The pickup is a no contact drive up system and no paperwork is required. The Food Bank is located at 146 North Monroe Street in Butler and is open from 8-10 AM, Monday thru Friday. Many thanks to all who make this giving possible with their donations and hard work. A reminder ...to mail in or drop off your “Name the New Parish in our Grouping” form. There’s still time and we need your feedback. Forms were included in the all parish mailing which you should receive by Monday. Forms can also be found on the joint

Live Streaming Continues Go to: stsjjmcatholic.org to find the live streaming link that will take you to the

St. Joseph YouTube channel. Let us know what your experience has been and if you would like to see the live

streaming continue even after things return to some “normalcy” whenever that may be.

Expect A Call! Over the next month or however long it takes, we will be updating the

information in our census program. That means, the addresses, phone numbers, emails, who

lives at the address, time and talents, etc. Someone from each parish office will be

in touch with you. The call should take no longer than 3-4 minutes or so. Please

be receptive. This will be helpful when our merger takes place and we combine the

three census databases. There’s much to be done and this is just one step in that

direction. Thanking you in advance for your joyful cooperation.

Dear Parishioners, As we approach the month of May, the month of our Blessed Mother, we raise our hope that the coming times will allow our brothers and sisters who have been affected by Covid-19 to heal, families who have been separated to come together, schools to welcome students, stores to resume, and the doors to our churches to open wide for all of our people to come together and praise our God. Renewed in hope, let us hold fast to the truth that the Lord has not abandoned us. There is light at the end of this tunnel. Communication is our lifeline. We need to keep that lifeline open so that you have the latest information and news from our bishop, the diocese and our parishes. Mail is one way. Unfortunately it can be slow and a bit expensive. A more efficient way is thru email. To do that, we need your email addresses. Please email your (email) address to your particular Parish Office. Those who do not have this ability, please let us know by a phone call so we can keep in touch with you.

St. John Parishioners, send your email to: [email protected] St. Joseph Parishioners, send your email to: [email protected]

St. Mary Parishioners, send your email to: [email protected]

Suggesting names for the new parish for the grouping of St. John, St. Joseph and St. Mary is one of our responsibilities for the merger process. You all are invited to participate. One side of the attached form is the actual submission information while the other side lists the criteria for submission. Please, take a minute to participate and be part of the process. Completed forms may be mailed in or dropped in the lock box at any of the churches in our grouping by May 21st. Thanks to those who have already submitted names. Online Giving is catching on. This efficient, plan-ahead, budget-wise way of contributing is available thru our website. You can choose the collections you wish to contribute to and the frequency. You won’t have to think about remembering your envelope when you are running late for church or when you are on vacation. Visit stsjjmcatholic.org, click the tab “Under” and choose ”Online Giving” for your particular parish. You will be asked to create an Online Profile. Check it out. If you need help in doing this, contact your Parish Office. Thanks to those who have already signed up. And thanks to those who have diligently returned their envelopes and offered support in many ways.

Online Streaming continues for Sunday Mass. Visit stsjjmcatholic.org and click the online streaming HERE button to tune in. Until we can come together, this is the next best thing to being together with the Lord.

Updating the Census information we have for each household is part of the preparation process for the merger. Someone from the Parish Office will call you just to refresh the information. Expect a call during the next couple of months and please be receptive. This will be beneficial come January 2021.

If you want to chat about anything, we are here for you. Further information and news will be forthcoming. Please reach out to us. Peace and Goodness and God Bless!
