The end of the year is review time and affords us the opportunity to take stock of our conduct as members of God's household. The gospel points out very forcibly that admission into our eternal home depends on the effort we make to help and comfort the needy. We shall be assured of a place in Christ's kingdom only if we treat others as Christ treats them. This is a challenging gospel which takes on excep- tional importance as it portrays a powerful image of judgment and presents us with the stark choice of being for or against Christ. There is no in between. None of us can reflect upon it without seeing areas of our lives where change and improvement are needed. This change and improvement will depend on how we become part of Christ and his mission. Remember that Christ becomes real to the people around us only in so far as we reach out and show concern for their welfare and commit ourselves to fostering their dignity. What- ever good or evil we do to others is done to him. Christ rules in our hearts and in the world around us when we give of our time, energy and love in performing practical acts of Charity. 33 Days to Morning Glory;

Consecration to the Blessed Mother on Dec. 8th:

All youth and adults are invited to begin the process to be-come consecrated (or re-consecrated. Many do it annually) to the Blessed Mother on December 8th. There will be a special mass at 10am at Immaculate Conception

and Bishop Smith will be celebrating the Mass with a special message Archbishop Sample as well. All are welcome to read “33 days to Morning Glory “ (for adults and for teens), begin-ning on November 5th to assist with the process. Books are available for purchase at the ICC office with Carolyn. The teen book is $10.00

and the adult book is $15.00 . What is 33 Days to Morning Glory ? 33 Days to Morning Glory is an extraordinary 33-day journey to Marian

Consecration by Fr. Michael Gaitley. It can be done simply by reading 2 pages a day of the book. The book takes you to the heart of Jesus through Mary by learning about four spiritual giants: St. Louis de

Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Pope St. John Paul II. Fr. Gaitley masterfully summarizes the teachings of these 4 saints, making it easy to grasp and simple enough to put into

practice.
