Mission Statement of St. Agnes: St. Agnes Parish, established in
West Mifflin, PA in 1867, is a viable Catholic community that
witnesses the message of Jesus through the talents of its members
who are nurtured by the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to invite people
to know and become one with Jesus Christ reaching out in service to
all.
Mission Statement of St. Maximilian Kolbe: St. Maximilian Kolbe
Parish has a proud ethnic and faith-filled history. Our goal is to
live the Gospel each day, to welcome everyone, to reach out to the
churched and unchurched, and to be a living presence of Christ to
the community through prayer and activities. All that we do is
centered around the Eucharistic table of the Lord.

a.m.

February 2nd.
St. Max Fish Fry will resume January 6th. Our special will be
hot roast beef sandwich, mashed potato and vegetable.
The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed January 6th from Noon
until 4:00 p.m. at St. Max. Please stop by to make a visit.
On Mission for the Church Alive round table discussion is set
for January 8th at 1:00 p.m. for the people of St. Agnes in St.
Agnes Social Hall. This will give you a chance to ask questions about
the meeting that was held and to give information to the team that
has meetings set for March 7th and April 27th. This will be an
informal discussion. All are welcome. The same discussion for the
people of St. Max will be held on January 14th at 5:00 p.m. in the
Parish Hall.
Adult Catechesis Classes - will be held on Sunday evenings at
the Saint Agnes School building from 6:30 to 8 p.m. beginning
January 8, 2017 and ending February 12, 2017. The class
covers many topics and is designed according to the needs and
interests of the attendees. An evening retreat is included on
February 12th. No cost. To register please call Peg Smith –
412-469-3452.

9th at 7:00 p.m. in St. Max Hall for everyone who is on the list to
go to Disney in June.

18th at 2:00 p.m. in St. Max Hall.

Dennis Naujelis -$400.
St. Max 25th Anniversary Committee - will meet on
Monday, January 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall.
Dinner Fundraiser - A meeting is set for January 18th at 7:00
p.m. to see about hosting a parish dinner in the future as a fund-
raiser. Anyone who may be interested in helping is asked to
attend the meeting.
Parish Appreciation Dinner - As is customary in January,
Father Dan likes to schedule a parish appreciation dinner for all
parishioners who have helped to support the parish this past year
and plan on continuing their support through ministry in the
Church through fish fry, festival, bake shop, flea market, just to
name a few, and those who contribute through their weekly offer-
ing. The Church is always asking and I believe the Church also
needs to give back. And, since Father Dan and the staff take care
of St. Agnes and St. Max, there will be a joint dinner held on
Saturday, January 21st in Max Hall. H’orderves will be served
from 5:00-6:15 p.m. and buffet style dinner served from 6:30-7:30
p.m. The Mansfield 5 will play from 7:30-10:30 p.m. And, since
January 21st is also the Feast of St. Agnes, Mass will be celebrated
at St. Max by either Father Mark or Father Martin, and will also be
celebrated at St. Agnes by Father Dan. Both Masses will take
place at 4:00 p.m. so that everyone can arrive at the party at the
same time. All you need to do is RSVP by Monday, January
16th by noon, by calling 412-461-1054 with the number attending
in your family.
