Tangible Outcomes
A perceived problem with languages is the lack of tangible outcomes for pupils. At Northgate we hope to change this perception. External clients commission a project requiring the use of the foreign language.
The client-commissioned Launch Create Celebrate model is taken from an approach used in Design Technology departments. Applying it to languages makes sense because it too is a subject where application of skills is more important than knowledge of facts.
A working model:
•Client• Launch•Create•Deliver•Celebrate
Progression in Creativity
• Perform something you have learned.• Use learned language in a real context.• Draw on language from a previous context and
apply it to a new one.• Have a conscious core repertoire which you
can deploy to express yourself.• Use language to entertain and enchant.

• You don’t need to learn more French, you just need to get better at using it
• You don’t need to improve your level, you need to use the sheet less and less
