The Panther Lacrosse Club is searching for an Assistant Coach for the upcoming 2017 season This is a High School Girls Varsity program that will be competing in the Pacific Lacrosse League (PLL) for the upcoming 2017 season The season runs February through May with practices on weeknights from 7-9 PM in the Vista High School Stadium in Vista CA Games will be scheduled on weekends (usually Saturdays) Practices will be scheduled to begin in December This is a new program so while there are not many experienced players there are a large number of non-lacrosse athletes ready to give the sport a tryPrevious coaching experience is desired but not required Previous high school playing experience required college playing experience preferred A stipend is available to cover expenses

Each month the Hand Up Youth Food Pantry at Jewish Family Service distributes emergency food to approximately 75 families on base at Camp Pendleton Fresh produce diapers and nutritious non-perishables are offered to active duty military members Many hands are needed to help assist unloading our truck and setting up for the event Volunteers are a vital part of the distribution as they help set up and distribute food items to those seeking assistance

Strong Marine Volunteers Needed at Heritage Park Village Museum Heritage Park Village Museum is nearly finished renovating the historic buildings that offer visitors the opportunity to ldquostep back in timerdquo and glimpse Oceanside at its incorporation in 1888 Marines were among the volunteers that worked to bring this Park into existence during our countryrsquos bicentennial celebration in 1976 The Park is made up of representative and historic buildings including the original Oceanside Jail formerly used for its holding cells by the Camp Pendleton military police The museum furnishings and artifacts were removed from many of the buildings and put into storage to enable renovations and remodeling Now that they have completed some of this work they need to return the furnishings to the buildings They are in need of 4-6 strong Marines to lift and move some large and heavy glass display cases from storage in the Livery Stable to their respective buildings onsite It will probably not take more than four hours of work the day and time is flexible however they need help as soon as possible
