SIKABAY envisions helping build, through the power of art, a community first, and soon, a Philippine society that:

1. Respects, preserves and works to develop what is true and what is just,

2. Safeguards and maintains Filipino culture and art

3. Provides equal space, time and opportunity for all, especially the poor;

4. Creates and is led by empowered leaders of high moral integrity; and

5. Nurtures and promotes the co-existence of men and women in harmony with each other and with Mother Earth.

To raise the level of awareness of the artists on socio-cultural, religious, economic, political, ecological and gender issues;

To provide art for all, that if which, is based on the critical observation of the society;

To create art that remembers, honors, and empowers women artists of the past, present, and the future;

To preserve art, and likewise learn to discover and develop new forms of art;

To nurture and train Theresian women artists in becoming empowered and socially-responsible artists;

To foster and uphold a collective relationship among the artists and between their audiences;

To study, learn, master, and promote the different artistic heritages of the Filipino culture in terms of visual art, dancing, music, and performance art;

To imbibe in every activity opportunities for the growth and advocacy of nationalism and life-nurturing values and principles based on truth, justice, freedom, love and peace.
