Project #1: Self Service Software Replacements

Technologies Platform: PC/E ( Pro Classic Enterprise)Software, O/S Tools used: WINCOR PC/E Console, BASE24, Clear2Pay bridge tool Virtual and Physical ATM’s/IDM’s, EMA and eiManager Database, MI Data Mart.

Description:

Self service software replacements is a program which will replaces the existing ATM/IDM estate with PC/E client/server architecture from ProCash 1.4 version of client software. There is a need to upgrade the current Windows XP Operating OS to Windows 7 since XP will be out of support from 2014 April. This projects aims to replace the high cost of BASE24 device handling and move it to the new software stack PC/E from Wincor.

Roles and responsibilities:

As a Sr.Sytem Tester I am involved in Understanding the Business Requirements, attending Architecture workshops and

understanding the testing needs from a very initial stage due to the Agile nature of the project.

Understanding the Mid level Platform design, Detailed platform design of all the interfaced applications.

Updating Requirement traceability matrix as per the Master Test Plan sections. Preparing status reports on various QA activities and progress. Execution test cases

Project #2: ATM Releases & Talking ATM’s

Technologies Platform: TandemSoftware, O/S Tools used: BASE24, Clear2Pay, Ascert Versa Test Automation tool, Virtual ATM/IDMs

Description:

The project aim was to install the software packages to the ATM/IDM estate and verify the changes made in the Attractor screens, in-trans advert screen of the ATM/IDM transaction flow. A huge amount of regression was always performed to ensure that the new screens introduced every quarter are not affecting the existing screens.

Also the bank introduced a new feature in the ATM with talking capability for visually impaired people wherein People can insert a audio jack into the ATM and listen to the instructions in the screen and perform a transaction based on the Voice input. NCR touch vocaliser was used a text to speech software for voice instructions.

As a Sr.System Tester involved in Understanding the Requirement, MLPD and Functional Specification docs Executing Test Cases using the Physical ATM for the Talking ATM feature Managing defects using Quality Center 9.2 Retesting resolved bugs Preparing status and test summary reports. Project #3: Cash account access to LINK/VISA ATM

Technologies Platform: TandemSoftware, O/S Tools used: BASE24, Level4 bridge tool, Ascert Versa Test Automation tool, Virtual IDMs

Description:

Cash account access is a project which extends the customer account of this type to use Link and VISA ATM’s. 6 news BIN’s were introduced and customers of this BIN’s can have access to these ATM’s.

This project has involved multiple changes and were done a entire BASE24 CAF refresh to prove the BIN adaptation. And this was certified by both VISA and LINK service providers.

Roles and responsibilities:

As a Sr. System Tester involved in Understanding the Requirement, MLPD and Functional Specification docs Raising Test cards order and liaising with different teams to track. Executing Test Cases using the Virtual ATM. Managing defects using Quality Center 9.2 Retesting resolved bugs. Preparing status & test summary reports and End of Test Report Certification testing for both VISA and LINK interfaces. Leading a team of 2 members.

Project #4 : IDM into BOS

Technologies Platform: TandemSoftware, O/S Tools used:BASE24, Level4 bridge tool.

Description:

After introducing IDMs into Lloyds branch network, it’s the time to introduce IDMs into the BOS branch network.

This project is a part of the Simplification programme to reduce the on-going costs within the BOS branch network. BOS IDMs are to be branded as BOS and will follow the BOS counter process by allowing deposits from both BOS and Halifax personal accounts via cards.
