We enable entrepreneurs, graphic designers and individuals start a shirt business from the comfort of their homes - risk free and hassle free. These individuals, a.k.a. store owners, sell thousands of shirts to diverse niche markets that you are most probably part of - like your school, your favorite band, or your favorite tv series. Many of the store owners had their first entrepreneurial experience at shirt.ly, and helping them get started and grow are what we are passionate about.

Shirt.ly was founded in September 2014 when our founder’s shirt business failed because of excess inventory. Many people loved his shirt designs, but they were not enough to generate a profit. This propelled us to create a platform that removes this risk (and hassle).

From a one-man team that operated from a garage’s stock room, we are now composed of 8 young passionate, forwarding-thinking and entrepreneurial individuals who are motivated by learning, growth and significance. Nevertheless, we are yet to complete the team that will bring shirt.ly to greater heights. That is why we are looking for the following:

Tech is at the core of what makes shirt.ly successful. We have an e-commerce platform that's responsible for hundreds of transactions a day, we use Slack for communication (and have bots that alert us), we use Intercom to chat with our customers among other things. While there are tons of tools out there that can help us, there is still lots of work that needs to move from manual to automatic.

We’re looking for a Software Engineer who can help us build tools that will help several of the teams within shirt.ly.Requirements: — 1-3 Years of professional software development experience — You have experience in launching an app to production — Proficient in at least one of the following languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, or Node.js

Bonus — You have done Test-Driven Development — You are familiar with subversion control managements systems like Git

Team Description

The development team is in charge of helping develop the e-commerce platform as well as to create several internal tools to make sure orders and payments are processed on time.

Role Description

As we continue to grow in both the number of shirts that we sell and in company size, things start getting complicated. Every time we add a new Google Sheet to our workflows, it adds complexity and at the same time prone to human error. shirt.ly is starting to create internal tools for the teams and we’re looking for someone who can help us automate things.
