Admission Requirements• 55 credits of college level work (junior standing)
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 in ALL courses attempted with a minimum UH Manoa GPA of 2.0.
• Completion of ICS 101(B) or equivalent with a “C” or better.
• Completion of the Pre-Business Core with a GPA of 2.5 and no grade below “C.”
• “C-” grades are not acceptable

Admissions: Transfer StudentsAll transfer students must apply to UH Manoa through the Admissions and Records office by:

• Submit application the semester admission requirements will be completed
• All requirements must be completed prior to entrance into Shidler
• Not eligible for Fall admission if requirements completed over summer.

• Completion of a SINGLE language up to 202 level
• Placement Exam:–Possible waiver from HSL requirement
–Back credits• Up to 16 back credits upon placement and completion of

Culture• Four courses from the SAME culture group
• List of approved culture courses– Available on Shidler website
(www.shidler.hawaii.edu/forms)
• Two 300+ level courses may double count as Upper Div. Electives (UDE)
Combination of Language/Culture
• 4 total language and culture courses
• Cannot mix different languages and cannot mix different cultures• Language and culture do NOT have to match
• Two courses (300+ level) may be used as UDE
International Study Abroad
• International student exchange for one semester (Fall or Spring)– Summer abroad will not satisfy
requirement
• Take business courses abroad• Any country will fulfill requirement• Scholarships available
