Heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given

more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he

has will be taken from him.” NIV

God has tucked away many mysteries in the Bible that until today we are still

unravelling. These are mysteries of how we are required to manage our lives, how

we are to relate with people and how we are to handle our finances. God is a God

of mysteries, yet it is His desire that all his sons will learn these mysteries, apply

them and live a life of dominion here on earth.

My journey as a bona fide child of God began in May 1999. One of the first things

I wanted to learn as a new Believer was what was God‟s will for our lives

concerning our careers, our money and wealth creation. I thought that once a

person gets born again, they are to pack their bags and sign up in a Bible College

and then eventually become a Pastor or work within the four walls of the Church

or other Para-church organization. I never imagined that God can use a Christian

in the marketplace or in anything that has to do with money and wealth creation.

As I started to read the Bible and grow spiritually, I learnt that God has a purpose

for each one of us and it does not necessarily have to be in the four walls of your

local church. I learnt that God desires that we learn and apply the principles of

the Kingdom of God even in the manner in which we handle our jobs, businesses

and our money.

God gave mankind the dominion mandate when he was in the Garden of Eden

and wealth creation is part of the package. As sons of God we are called a “royal

priesthood” and this means we are anointed to operate as Kings and Priests in the

marketplace (if we are not in the full-time ministry) and dominate in our sphere

of influence using our gifts, talents, abilities, skills, education and life experiences.

Jesus Christ talked continually saying that the Kingdom of God is at hand. Jesus

came to restore the Kingdom of God on earth. We are therefore called to embrace

a Kingdom-mindset. Life in the Kingdom of God is really about returning to the

governing authority of God. In fact, part of understanding about the way the

Kingdom of God functions, is learning how to use the keys of the Kingdom of God

to unlock mysteries of the said Kingdom.

I want to use this e-booklet to empower Christians on some of these principles of

the Kingdom of God as far as wealth creation is concerned. I seek to bring out the

principles that God placed in the Bible that his sons are to use to become the

“head” and not the “tail” in the marketplace. I seek to move away from the

extremes – one of prosperity theology and one of poverty mindset. Prosperity

theology tends to lack balance because Christians are told it is your “right” to have

wealth, but often times the manner in which that wealth is acquired and the

manner it is used is not compatible to the principles of the Kingdom of God. On

the other hand the poverty mindset leads Christians to accept a mediocre and

simple life because they are told that their wealth and their mansions are waiting

for them in heaven after they die.

God‟s desire is to bring his children into the fullness of their “sonship” and this

includes a life of dominion here on earth. It is not easy to live in dominion if one

is poor. Therefore Kingdom wealth was and still is part of the package that God

has given to his sons. It is very important that we Christians learn what God‟s

purpose for giving us wealth is, so that we do not misuse it. The purpose of this e-

booklet is to give a balanced message of how God our Creator desires his sons to

create Kingdom wealth and what they are to use it for.

INTRODUCTION

Psalms 35: 27 “May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and

gladness; may they always say, “The Lord be exalted, who delights in the well-

being of his servant.” NIV

According to the Webster‟s Reference Library Concise Edition Dictionary and

Thesaurus, the word principle means a basic truth; a law or doctrine used as a

basis for others; a moral code of conduct or the method of a thing‟s working. The

principles of Kingdom wealth therefore simply mean the basic truths of wealth

according to God‟s plan in the Bible. It means how to create and sustain wealth

and how to use it for the glory of God and the expansion of the Kingdom of God

here on earth. Why does God want his sons to be wealthy?

In my best-selling e-book “Seven Secrets of the End-Time Wealth Transfer

Revealed – Unlocking Financial Mysteries of the Kingdom of God” I introduced

the definition of the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom Millionaire. I will repeat

these basic concepts again as they are important in understanding some

fundamental issues that will be discussed in this e-booklet.

Who is a Kingdom Millionaire? “A Kingdom Millionaire is a Christian

Entrepreneur who, under the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit, uses his

talents, gifts, skills, abilities, education and experiences to innovate and create

products and services that are sold to generate profits, that eventually multiply to

become wealth that is gradually channelled towards the expansion of the

Kingdom of God here on earth.”

In his book Rediscovering the Kingdom – Ancient Hope for our 21st

Century World, Dr. Myles Munroe defines the Kingdom of God as the actual

rule of God in the spiritual realm, and the Kingdom of Heaven as the

headquarters and the heavenly invasion upon the earth, or the transfer of power

from the spiritual realm to the physical. “The Kingdom of God on earth, therefore

is God‟s authority within the heart and spirit of man, and the Kingdom of Heaven

is when that authority impacts the human earthly environment through His

designated representatives. In other words, we who are the “Kingdom of God” on

earth can, through the Holy Spirit who resides in our hearts, take our King with

us everywhere we go and impact our environment by helping bring the “Kingdom

of Heaven” to that place. This is what Jesus meant when he said, “Repent, for the

Kingdom of Heaven is near.” (Matt 4:17). He had arrived, bringing the Kingdom

with Him, and in Him. With His Spirit in us, we too, can carry His Kingdom with

us wherever we go.” 1

Building the Church is what Jesus does; taking His Kingdom all over the earth is

what he commanded us to do. Why is this still necessary if He died victoriously on

the cross and rose majestically from the tomb? Because there is an evil empire

still entrenched all over the earth that needs to be dismantled using the keys

entrusted to us. Satan and his minions no longer have the authority in the

heavenly realm nor the right on earth, but like stubborn spiritual squatters, they

refuse to relinquish their position and this is why Jesus has deputized His Church

(His army) to evict them.”2

God gave mankind the dominion mandate as per:

Genesis 1: 26 & 27 “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our

likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea the birds of the air, over the

livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the

ground.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created

him; male and female he created them.” NIV.

The meaning of dominion is to rule or to reign, to master, to be King, royal rule,

Kingdom and kingly. Dr. Myles Munroe defines it as follows: “To be given

dominion means to be established as a sovereign, kingly, master, governor,

responsible for reigning over a designated territory, with the inherent authority to

represent and embody as a symbol, the territory, resources and all that

constitutes that Kingdom.”

God gave man a dominion mandate over the earth; He gave him responsibility

over His government on earth. God intended mankind to embody the nature of

God on earth and serve as His divine representative in the physical world.3

Deuteronomy 8: 18 “But thou shall remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that

giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he

sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” KJV

In order for man to fulfil this dominion mandate, he requires the authority, skills

and resources necessary. This is where Kingdom wealth creation comes in. In this

e-booklet we will take a journey to discover what exactly Kingdom wealth is,

where it comes from and what its purpose is. This e-booklet starts by exploring

some basic facts about how the Kingdom of God functions and some of its

paradoxes. In order to fully understand the way the Kingdom of God functions,

many Christians will have to embrace new paradigms and thinking patterns.

Remember Jesus Christ said that you cannot put new wine in old wine skins.

(Luke 5: 37). Chapter two explores the principle of the Garden of Eden that

relates to the mystery of our calling; chapter three describes how God created us

in his own image and why it is therefore possible for us to live in dominion here

on earth. Chapter four looks at the fundamental principles of “Doing business

God‟s way” and chapter five stresses the importance of being financially literate.

Chapter six reiterates the mystery of giving that is very important in the way the

Kingdom of God functions and chapter seven concludes by looking briefly at the

role of discipling the nations and the mystery of the end-time wealth transfer.

This e-booklet is NOT about “prosperity theology” or a “get-rich-quick” strategy

for the Christians in the marketplace, but is meant for Christians who have been

tested or are not afraid to be tested by God through the fires of affliction, just like

Joseph and Daniel. Christians who are broken and completely dead to self, and

whose highest agenda and priority is to see the Kingdom of God manifested here

on earth.

Kingdom Titbit

“To understand how the Kingdom of Heaven works and how it holds sway over

the visible world, we must place two facts in the brightest light.

First, there is absolute abundance in the Kingdom of God. Second, it is possible to

have total favour with the ruler of that abundance.

On the first point Jesus telling His disciples that they were being permitted to

know the secrets of the Kingdom, set forth the truth of abundance with a parable

about a sower. The seed that fell on the ground, He said yielded crops of

thirtyfold, sixtyfold and hundredfold. That is abundance – returns of 3,000,

6,000 and 10,000 percent. You see, there is no economic recession, no shortage,

in the Kingdom of God.

Throughout our forests, we see this truth touching the physical world. Consider

the profusion of seed that comes from a maple tree. Look at the multiplicity of

colours in a sunset; there are more hues that we can name. Plant life, marine life,

bird life – there is no end, almost as though God had sent abundance into the

universe as testimony of His own infinitude.

Chapter One – Kingdom Principle No. 1. The Secrets of the

Kingdom – Embrace the Paradigm Shifts

Heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given

more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he

has will be taken from him.” NIV

Jesus Christ gave many parables to His disciples concerning the way the Kingdom

of God worked. These Kingdom principles are spiritual, yet not religious, they are

practical, but are understood by revelation. The principles are supposed to

liberate, transform and impact peoples‟ lives. Two people may hear the same

parable; one will understand it by revelation and the other will not. That is why

Jesus told his disciples that “it has been given to them to understand the

keys/mysteries of the Kingdom of God.” It had not been given to everybody.

As Kingdom Millionaires, these principles of the Kingdom of God must form the

blue print of our lives. They must be a part of our lifestyle. As a Kingdom

Millionaire aligns his life including his finances with these Kingdom principles,

his mind and life will be transformed; therefore he will be used by God to

transform and impact other peoples‟ lives using Kingdom wealth.

If God is to use you as part of the group of people who will enjoy Kingdom wealth,

He has to trust that you will do what is needed to be done. This will require a

paradigm shift on the way the individual thinks.

I would like to review a few of the paradoxes of the way the Kingdom of God

works. Most people believe that you should hate your enemies and revenge when

they hurt you. Jesus Christ preached that we should love our enemies and pray

for those who persecute us.

Matthew 5: 43 - 45 “You have heard that it is said, „Love your neighbour, and hate

your enemy.‟ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute

you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on

the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

This is a clear indication that for us to properly understand and function in the

Kingdom of God we must understand the heart and mind of God. Gods grace is

provided to people who are good and those who are bad. We too, as difficult as it

may be should learn to “love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us”. If

you are unable to do this, ask for grace. In your journey to Kingdom wealth

creation, there will be many road bumps, people get hurt and enemies are

created. Stop and just love those enemies!

Another paradox of the way the Kingdom of God functions is the issue of

becoming like a child in order to become great and also the issue of Servant-

leadership. How can a leader be a Servant?

People generally have a desire for greatness. They want to be great. The ego wants

to pursue a life of greatness. Jesus Christ gave his opinion on what it means to be

great. The Bible spells out this very clearly:

Matthew 18: 2 – 4 “And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the

midst of them. And said verily, I say unto you, except ye be converted and become

as little children, ye shall not enter in the Kingdom of heaven.” KJV

Matthew 20: 26 – 27 “But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be

great among you, let him be your minister; and whosoever will be chief among

you, let him be your servant: Even as the son of man came not to be ministered

unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” KJV

Luke 22: 25 – 27 “And he said unto them, The Kings of the Gentiles exercise

lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called

benefactors. But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you let him be as

the younger; and he that is chief as he that doth serve. For whether is greater, he

that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth.” KJV

A Servant-leader is a person who serves his community or nation with his gift. If

you have not discovered your area of gifting, you cannot become a Servant-leader.

Servant-leadership is serving at every opportunity; it means giving yourself fully

to serve others selflessly.

This is definitely a paradox from the normal practice; where the followers serve

the leaders. So telling the so-called leaders to serve their subjects is a challenge to

the status quo. Most leaders we see around us today focus on what they can get

from their followers.

A third paradox that I will mention is that of our attitude towards money and

treasures. The world tells us that we should accumulate wealth and store it up for

our own vanity and enjoyment. The Principles of the Kingdom of God dictate that

we should store our treasures in Heaven (this is done through sowing seed into

the Kingdom of God and blessing others).

Matthew 6: 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and

rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves

treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do

not break in and steal. For where your treasures are, there your heart will be

also.”

A fourth principle of the Kingdom of God is the issue of generosity. The world‟s

way is to keep what you have for “me, myself and I and sometimes my family.”

The principles of the Kingdom dictate that we should do good and bless the poor,

the widows and the orphans.

Deuteronomy 15:11 “For the poor shall never cease out of the land; therefore I

command thee saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy

poor and thy needy in thy land.” KJV.

Deuteronomy 14: 28 - 29 “At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of

that year‟s produce and store it in your towns, so that the Levites (who have no

allotment or inheritance of their own) and the aliens, the fatherless and the

widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that

the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.” NIV.

2nd Corinthians 9: 6, 8, 11 “Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap

sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. And, God is

able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times; having all

that you need, you will abound in every good work. You will be made rich in every

way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your

generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” NIV.

Fifthly, the world teaches us that we should love our lives, ourselves and guard

our lives. The Kingdom of God dictates that he who looses his life for the sake of

the Kingdom of God will receive hundred fold blessings in this life and the eternal

life to come.

Mark 10:29 – 30 “I tell you the truth,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or

brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel

will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers,

sisters, mothers, children and fields – and with them, persecutions) and in the

age to come, eternal life” NIV.

Finally the world teaches that an individual should focus on creating his

empire/Kingdom. The Kingdom of God principles urge us to “seek first the

Kingdom of God and all His righteousness and all these additional things will be

added unto us.” This includes the Kingdom that was prepared for us at the

creation of the world.

Matthew 25: 34 – 40 “Then the King will say to those on his right, „Come, you

who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for

you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something

to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you

invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked

after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer

him, „Lord when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you

something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing

clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?‟ “The

King will reply, „I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these

brothers of mine, you did for me.” NIV.

As a Kingdom Millionaire, once you understand these basic principles of how the

Kingdom of God functions, you will be in a better position to lay an excellent

foundation for Kingdom wealth creation. Amen!

Kingdom Titbit

“God approaches life from the opposite angle. He operates on the principle of

plenty. In God‟s kingdom, the successful man or woman is the one who gives the

most away. (A Kingdom Millionaire – emphasis added). The world says, “He who

dies with the most toys wins.” The Kingdom says, “He who gives away the most

wins.” God doesn‟t see the cup as half full or half empty – He sees it overflowing!

From God‟s perspective, words like scarce resources, conserve, save up and

limited are meaningless. His is a world without limits, and we can connect to it.

Chapter Two – Kingdom Principle No. 2 – The Garden of

Eden – Unlock the Mystery of your Calling

Matthew 13: 44 - 46 “The Kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field.

When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had

and bought that field. Again the Kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking

for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold

everything he had and bought it” NIV.

God is the All-knowing God, therefore everything that has been invented and that

is currently in the process of being invented now or in the future, He knows about

it. God is the source of all wisdom, knowledge and divine insight. God blesses his

sons through the flow of divine ideas. When you are faithful and consistent in

your giving to the work of the expansion of the Kingdom of God and blessing

others, God will give you more wealth through the flow of divine ideas and divine

favour. Divine ideas can be referred to as wisdom.

Wisdom is a fundamental key in the Kingdom wealth creation process. The Spirit

of God is a Spirit of power and wisdom. There are several key people in the Bible

who received their wealth transfer through divine ideas. Jacob, while still working

for Laban, received a divine insight through a dream that led him to receive a

wealth transfer from Laban through the creation of a special breed of animal.

Divine ideas are superior to intellectual capabilities, talents and skills.

The issue of divine ideas brings me to a revelation that God gave to me. I refer to

it as “the mystery of your Garden of Eden.” God has created a Garden of Eden for

all of us. It is important that we locate where this “Garden of Eden” is and tend it,

keep it and harvest from it. Your “Garden of Eden” is also connected to your gifts,

talents, abilities and skills. This garden is your place of provision and your wealth

transfer will come from there. The key is to locate it.

Who created the Garden of Eden? God created the Garden of Eden. Let us take a

walk into the scriptures:

Genesis 2: 8 – 15 “Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden;

and there he put the man he had formed. And the Lord God made all kinds of

trees grow out of the ground – trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for

food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the

knowledge of good and evil. A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from

there it was separated into four headwaters. The name of the first is the Pishon; it

winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. (The gold of that

land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.) The name of the second

river is Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush. The name of the third

river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Asshur. And the fourth river is the

Euphrates. The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to

work it and take care of it.” NIV.

This is proof that God created the Garden of Eden and then placed man in it. All

the provision that Adam needed was already in this garden, including gold and

onyx. In addition, there were four rivers flowing through this garden providing

multiple streams of blessings. Wow! Adam‟s assignment was to manage this

wealth that he had already been given. This was his inheritance for being a son of

God. No struggling! But you all know that this did not go too well. Through the

deception from the serpent, Adam lost his “inheritance” and his “sonship.”

Instead of the land working for him, he was cursed to work for the land and the

land was cursed such that instead of producing a harvest of “gold and onyx” it

instead produced a harvest of “thorns and thistles”.

Adam now lived under a curse and instead of his garden providing for him, he

had to sweat to get an increase of any kind. This curse was broken at the cross at

Calvary by Jesus Christ. He paid the price. The marketplace also has been

redeemed and God wants to show his sons how to locate their “Garden of Eden”

in the said marketplace that will have all of their provisions.

Many Christians are still living in a “cursed garden” and they have not yet located

their “Garden of Eden.” Because of this, they are struggling from hand to mouth

to earn a living. If you are reading this book and you are going through this, I

prophesy to you that, it will come to an end as you catch this revelation. A cursed

garden will cause you to have no joy in what you do. You will be constantly

complaining and most of all; this garden will produce “thorns and thistles”

instead of “gold and onyx.” How will you know if you are living in a “cursed

garden?”

If you are experiencing any of the following signs and symptoms in your job or

business venture then you are still living in a “cursed garden”.

If you are in a job or business venture because it is based on the

opportunities in the marketplace, or pressure from a career that was

chosen for you by your parents and not on your gifts, talents and skills.

If you are in a job or business where you cannot determine your level of

income, and you can be dismissed at any time.

If you wake up in the morning with the attitude “not another day in that

god-forsaken job or business!”

If you find that you are always disorganized. Your business has a

management system called “management by crisis”. Instead of planning

you are constantly reacting to one crisis after another. You have no sense of

direction as to where this business will be in the next three – five years.

If you are overworked in your job or business and hate every minute of it

If you are working in a job or business where you are not able to see the

glory of God or worship God in what you are doing.

If you are not even able to tithe from your current income or be a blessing

to someone else. Your salary is enough for you and your immediate family.

When there is a request to give for the work of God, you grumble.

If you are experiencing all or any of the above-mentioned symptoms– It means

you are living in a “cursed garden”, therefore you need to break out of this

bondage and ask God to reveal to you the location of your “Garden of Eden”.

This will ensure your growth is faster than you can imagine. You will know that

you are in your “Garden of Eden” when you are experiencing any of the following

in your job or business venture:

If you have understood your gifts, talents and abilities and you are using

them to create products or services, and they are being sold to bring you

profits, and these profits are being channelled towards Kingdom wealth

creation through lucrative investments.

If you wake up every morning feeling truly blessed to be doing what you

are doing even before the money has started coming into the business or

job.

If you are constantly receiving new ideas from God on how to improve your

job or business and as you pursue these ideas, your productivity increases

bringing you higher profits that translates into more Kingdom wealth.

If every business venture you are starting produces profits for you without

struggling.

If you are experiencing all-round favour from God in your businesses. You

are not struggling to get contracts, clients are paying on time and hence

you are not in debt.

If you are able to reconcile your gifts, job/business and calling with the

overall purpose of God to expand His Kingdom on earth.

If you are able to tithe and bless other people with the income that you

receive comfortably without complaining, suffering or going into further

debt.

If you have no doubt in your heart that what you are doing is what you

were created to do.

If all the above-mentioned symptoms are in your life, you have located your

“Garden of Eden” and you will thrive and walk in dominion to the glory of God.

You will make your Father – God very happy and He will say to you “well done my

son. Receive now the Kingdom that was prepared for you since the creation of the

world!” (Matthew 25: 34 – 40).

Chapter Three – Kingdom Principle No. 3 – Created in His

Image – Awaken the Entrepreneur in You

Genesis 1: 28 “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in

number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of

the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” NIV

Luke 16: 10 “Whoever can be trusted with little can also be trusted with much,

and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” NIV.

The word entrepreneur is derived from two French words “entrer” – to enter and

“prendre” which means to take – to enter and to take. An entrepreneur is

therefore a person who has the vision to see opportunities, the courage to take

business risks and the ability to keep a business going despite difficulties. While

someone may be able to start a business, not everybody is an entrepreneur. An

entrepreneur invents, innovates and creates. A Kingdom Millionaire MUST have

the characteristics of an entrepreneur. Why?

Genesis 1: 26 “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule

over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the

earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” NIV.

This means in essence that God who is a Creator/Inventor placed in each one of

us those same abilities to create and invent. The gene of being an entrepreneur is

in all of us. Whether we harness this aspect in our lives or not depends on very

many things such as education, awareness, knowledge versus ignorance, exposure

and upbringing.

In these last days God is giving many of his sons who are sensitive in the spirit

ideas that will birth new inventions in technology, energy, science, information

technology, communications, and transport industry and so on. A Kingdom

Millionaire must be someone who can birth new businesses in the various above-

mentioned fields.

Some of the common Top TEN characteristics of entrepreneurs include the

following:

An entrepreneur must pay the price to further his level of education. He

must invest in himself to learn about money, business and investments

because this is an important part of thriving and not just surviving in the

marketplace; he must keep himself informed by reading books, magazines,

journals, reports; he must join business associations and clubs and

network with other skilled business people to learn secrets of success and

help define his own goals and objectives. He must also attend business &

marketing seminars, workshops and training courses.

An entrepreneur must learn the art of planning. It is one thing to have a

good idea/invention but pursuing it to the end requires serious planning. It

is said that “failure to plan means you are planning to fail.”

An entrepreneur should pursue an invention/idea within what he loves

doing. Passion is a very serious motivator. If you are passionate about

something, you will have no problem working late into the night to meet

the deadlines.

An entrepreneur must be focused. Do not have too many balls in the air.

Focus on the core business and the things that you do with ease and

delegate the rest. This will make you an authority in that particular area.

An entrepreneur must build a strong team to work with. Greatness is

usually a team effort. No one can do it all on their own. I am usually

concerned when I hear people using words such as “self-made millionaire.”

Team means that “Together Everyone Accomplishes More”, so you need a

dynamic team of talented and motivated people.

An entrepreneur must be a strategic thinker. He must analyze the

strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of any business venture

in order to plan well and succeed in that area of business.

An entrepreneur must not be afraid of taking risks and failure. Most of the

modern day millionaires and billionaires made their fair share of mistakes

and some were declared bankrupt on several occasions. Some lessons can

only be learnt through trial and error or through what I refer to as “failing

forward.”

An entrepreneur must create a competitive advantage for his products or

services. There must be something different about your product or service

that will motivate people to buy it and become repeat customers. Some

aspects of competitive advantage include longer warranties, longer

business hours, better customer service, more flexible payment options,

better return and exchange policies and personalized service. In addition,

an entrepreneur must work hard in order to become the expert in his area

of operation.

An entrepreneur should work at creating a business enterprise that will

outlive him. This is part of what I like to refer as building multi-

generational wealth. Some of the best stores today were founded in the

1800s and are still thriving. Even the bible says in the book of Proverbs

that “a good man leaves an inheritance for his children‟s children.”

(Proverbs 13: 22).

An entrepreneur must build a rock-solid reputation through honouring his

promises and commitments and provision of excellent products or services

on time, and be consistent in order to gain trust from clients. Customer

satisfaction should be his motto.

A Kingdom Millionaire must be an entrepreneur and create and invent diverse

products and services in order to have a steady flow of multiple streams of income

through his several Kingdom business ventures and investments. This will ensure

that even if one part of the business arena is affected, other businesses will

sustain the ones that are affected.

According to wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia, creativity is the ability to

generate innovative ideas and manifest them from thought into reality. The

process involves original thinking and then producing. The process of creation

was historically reserved for deities creating “from nothing” in Creationism and

other creation myths. Over time, the term creativity came to include human

innovation, especially in art and science and led to the emergence of the creative

class.

Creativity can therefore be defined as the ability to apply certain skills, abilities

and talents to produce new products, services, systems and processes. Creativity

involves work that solves problems. As I mentioned earlier, one man‟s problem is

another entrepreneur‟s business opportunity. Creativity involves bringing

solutions to problems. The mobile telephone has solved the problem of

communication while bringing much wealth to the people that invented it. The

internet has solved the problem of interactive communication and enabled people

who created it like Bill Gates to walk in wealth. The motor vehicle solved the

problem of moving from point A to point B and brought unparalleled wealth to

the inventors. I could go on, but I believe that you have got my point. Necessity is

the mother of invention, whereas creativity is the solution to problems.

In these last days, God is giving his sons divine ideas which solve particular

problems. I for example was very frustrated at the manner in which the internet

was flooded with new age material about doing business, investing and wealth

creation in general that it was no surprise to me when God gave me this divine

idea of “empowering Christians about Kingdom principles of wealth creation and

business management.” Sometimes the entrepreneur may not have all the skills

required, therefore additional learning will be necessary. I always say that the

price has to be paid – there is no shortcut to the creation of wealth.

Creativity will involve stretching yourself, your skills and even your faith. You will

have to dig deeper and start using those skills hidden in you that have been lying

dormant. Remember God our Father is a Creator and as I mentioned earlier, He

created us in His own image and therefore the seed of creativity lies in all of us.

Creativity will involve practising before you get it right. If you decide to start

writing books, you can start with baby steps. Write short articles and submit

them, then move to short stories, and then start your first book.

You will have to possibly work with a mentor who has accomplished some success

in the area you are interested in. This will help you to avoid some simple mistakes

that your mentor might have made. Once you start your business, customers will

pay for your creativity. Creativity will enable you to establish a “niche market”

and set yourself apart, or be different from the competitors in your market

segment.

I believe that there is no limit to creativity. As long as you are alive and are able to

speak and hear from God to give you divine ideas, you will create things until the

day you go home to be with the Lord or until the rapture whichever comes first.

The Bible says that we have been given “the mind of Christ” so let us not under

estimate our God-given abilities. The vast potentials of the creative ability of God

in us have not yet been developed. Our creative ability is from God. God, is the

bank where our creative resources are deposited. We use God‟s wisdom and

creative ability, which is inexhaustible. Anybody who is a born-again child of God

with a regenerated spirit has access to this inexhaustible supply of creative ability.

According to wikipedia the online encyclopaedia, innovation means a change in

the thought process of doing something or “new stuff that is made useful”. It may

refer to incremental emergent or radical and revolutionary changes in thinking,

products, processes, or organizations. In many fields, such as the arts, economics

and government policy, something new must be substantially different to be

innovative. In economics, the change must increase value, customer value, or

producer value. The goal of innovation is positive change, to make someone or

something better. Innovation that leads to increased productivity is the

fundamental source of increasing wealth in an economy.

Innovation therefore, means thinking outside the box, or creating something that

is different from what is already in the market in a particular product or service

category. Innovation can involve improving on an existing product, for example

the mobile telephone. When the mobile telephone was first introduced in the

market, the hand sets were huge gadgets that were difficult to carry around. Now

you can get a mobile hand set the size of a lipstick. This is innovation which

involves improving on an already existing product.

The opposite of innovation is tradition, conformity, custom. The world is evolving

at such a fast pace that innovation is the order of the day. An entrepreneur cannot

afford to stagnate at one spot, otherwise he will merely survive instead of thrive in

the marketplace.

Innovation is a very fundamental key in the area of wealth creation. If you are

going to create products or services that will out sell the competitors, you must be

innovative.

The principle of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship go hand-in-hand as

far as Kingdom wealth creation is concerned. An entrepreneur, who will use his

creativity to manufacture innovative products or services will definitely excel in

the marketplace. As I was researching material for this book, I read a lot about

entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship. My journey to becoming an entrepreneur is

also very interesting and I will be sharing it in one of my other upcoming e-books.

One of the things I learnt about entrepreneurs is that many of them usually start

by selling their services and in fact, they start off broke or with little money but

they learn their money-making skills from the very beginning – what I like to

refer to as the “School of Hard Knocks” – learning through adversity and crisis

and mistakes and trial and error. The job market is changing in many nations.

More universities are producing more graduates who may sometimes not be all

absorbed into the existing job markets so the need to create one‟s own business is

almost not an option. For others who have reached the peak of their careers,

finding an employer to pay them what they are worth is not always easy, hence

the need to start ones‟ own business.

In short, this is the age of entrepreneurship. More and more governments are

creating better policies to support entrepreneurs especially in the small and micro

enterprise category. On the other hand, more and more banking institutions are

providing easy access to finances for start-up businesses.

Several other reasons are also responsible for this rise in entrepreneurship. The

increase in knowledge is one of them. More and more books, articles on the

internet, personal development/empowerment training seminars are easily

available now than ever before to help create an environment with many new

ideas that can flourish. Technology on the other hand is expanding at a high rate

with new products entering the market every other day. Competition is also more

aggressive than in the past. Entrepreneurs are exploring and using more modern

methods to market and sell their products and services and to provide superior

customer service.

It is said that most of the current millionaires and billionaires in the United States

of America are first-generation millionaires or billionaires. This means that they

did not inherit their wealth. They started from scratch and learnt the success

secrets required for them to become millionaires and billionaires. Why am I

telling you this? It is possible for you who is reading this book to become a

Kingdom Millionaire to achieve even more than has already been achieved.

As you purpose to become a Kingdom Millionaire, you must purpose to be an

entrepreneur because that is the only way to create wealth. You cannot create

wealth while in salaried employment. Once you become an entrepreneur and

create a successful business venture, you simply replicate this and create other

successful business ventures or franchises and then let your money work for you

as you become an investor. Herein is the principle of the “Garden of Eden”

enforced, because you tend your garden and it produces for you wealth without

too much sweat.

Just to close this section I will list three things that will give a Kingdom

Millionaire success as an entrepreneur.

1. Focus. Focus means having a clear vision and mission that you diligently

pursue to the very end. It is important to focus on one business, master it

and become the best in that field before venturing into other new areas.

The business venture that you will select will depend on your skills,

abilities, education background, ability to take risk and the current market

trends. You have to also be clear on the purpose for your life and business

and mostly God‟s call upon your life. Has God called you to be a Kingdom

Millionaire?

2. Excellence: You cannot compromise on quality. Once you are clear on

your vision, mission, purpose, skills and strengths, you must strive to

achieve excellence in all you do. Roll up your sleeves and do not be afraid

to pay the price. You must not just be very good at what you do, you must

be the best. I am determined to be the best at what I am currently doing in

my generation. I am determined that presidents and first ladies will call me

to give them advice on how to solve certain pertinent issues in their

countries, and like Joseph and Daniel, God will give me solutions based on

the principles of the Kingdom of God - to these issues. One of my favourite

all time books is, Good to great by Jim Collins. We studied this book in

our “Oakseed Executive Leadership course” conducted by Prof. Vincent

Anigbogu of the Institute of National Transformation – Kampala, Uganda

November 2008 – April 2009. According to Jim Collins, to be successful in

business you first need to be doing something that you love, you have a

passion for that sphere/area. Secondly, you have to have the potential to be

the best in this area – i.e. skills, talents, abilities, educational background,

and personality. Thirdly, you must be able to generate profits from this

business to bring you into a place of financial independence whereby you

are able to achieve your financial goals. I recommend that everyone

reading this book should also read Good to Great by Jim Collins.

3. Continuous improvement: An entrepreneur cannot afford to get

comfortable at any stage of the journey. He must strive for continued

growth and improvement through continuous learning. He should

continue to try out new things, explore new ideas, new systems, better and

different ways of production, marketing and sales. An entrepreneur should

anticipate change, prepare for change and react positively and quickly to

adapt to change. An entrepreneur must be persistent even during

challenging moments and never give up.

Creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship are very important principles in the

system of Kingdom wealth creation so ensure that you have or are able to acquire

these relevant attributes.

Chapter Four – Kingdom Principle No. 4 – El-Shaddai &

Sons Inc. – Doing Business God’s way

Kingdom Keys

Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all his righteousness;

and all these things shall be added unto you.” KJV

Matthew 13: 11 - 12 “He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto

you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance:

but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.” KJV

As a Kingdom Millionaire starts to build up a Kingdom business, it is very

important to lay down the right foundation. A solid foundation will enable the

business to withstand the test of time. This foundation is the principle of “seeking

first the Kingdom of God.” It will therefore be very important for the Kingdom

Millionaire to establish business goals and objectives based on “seeking first the

Kingdom of God.” I strongly suggest to every Kingdom Millionaire to have the

following five business goals and objectives:

a) Financing the expansion of the Kingdom of God. Matthew 24: 14 “And

this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness

unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” NIV. Jesus Christ will not

return until this message of the Kingdom has been preached. How will this

happen? Christians have to create Kingdom wealth that will be used to finance

evangelism work, support missionaries, build churches, and transform

communities and nations until the Gospel of the Kingdom is preached to all

nations. The true fulfilment of the Great Commission will bring people into a

complete experience of the Kingdom of God that includes godly economic

systems and forms of government, education anchored in God‟s word, families

with Jesus Christ as the head, entertainment that portrays God in His variety

and excitement, media based on communicating the truth in love, and

churches that serve as sending stations for missionaries to all areas of society.

A Kingdom Millionaire must see his business as a “Strategic Partner” of

financing the spread of the gospel of the Kingdom into the nations before the

end time. A percentage of the profits of a Kingdom business should be

dedicated to financing the above-mentioned Kingdom initiatives.

b) Producing and selling high quality goods and services to improve

people’s lives. This will also include selling the goods or services at a fair

price. A Kingdom business must position itself as a company of excellence,

after all God is the CEO. The goods and services produced must be better than

those of the competitors. Customers must be treated fairly and respectfully so

that they patronize the business without complaining.

c) Meeting needs: A Kingdom business will meet the needs of the employees,

the owner and his family, the shareholders and the community around it. The

employees must earn good salaries and be able to provide for their families. It

is written in 1st Timothy 5:8 “If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and

especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than

an unbeliever.” NIV.

d) Making a profit: A Kingdom business has to make profits. The business

must produce quality goods and services, that satisfy customers, transform

people‟s lives and create Kingdom wealth through profits. Although profits are

one of the goals of the Kingdom business, it is important to prioritize the

principles of “doing business God‟s way” over the profits.

e) Impacting and transforming lives: A Kingdom business must be a

change agent and bring transformation in the environment in which the

business operates. This means that after several years of being in a particular

place, it is evident that the lives of that particular community have been

transformed. This can include improving the general infrastructure like roads,

improving services such as public transportation, hospitals and schools and

vocational training institutions. In addition, the business will give some of its

profits out to different charity projects that are being conducted in the

community.

The power of “covenanting your business to God”

A covenant can be defined as follows: “a solemn promise to engage in or refrain

from a specific action. A Covenant is a type of contract in which the covenantor

makes a promise to a covenantee to do or not to do some action.”

We can see that it is therefore possible to enter into a covenant between God and

your Kingdom business. What would such a covenant look like?

A Kingdom Millionaire can decide to covenant his business to God and make God

the CEO of that business venture. This would mean that the business will be

managed according to biblical principles. For example, the business will tithe 10%

or more of its revenue/gross profits into the multi-dimensional work of the

expansion of the Kingdom of God and it will also give a certain percentage of its

net profits to various community projects and charities.

In addition, the business goals and objectives would be as indicated above: to

finance the gospel of the Kingdom of God; produce high quality goods or services

that will improve and transform people‟s lives; meet needs of the employees, the

owner and the shareholders; win souls for the Kingdom of God; make a profit;

and impact and transform lives of people in the community.

Proverb 16:3 “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be

established.” KJV.

One of the major similarities of Kingdom Millionaires in the past was that most of

them covenanted their Kingdom businesses to God. One story that I found

particularly interesting was that of Stanley Tam. He began a silver recovery

business that built collectors into tanks that photographers, X-ray labs, and

printers could use to retrieve silver. In 1936, Sam became broke, and told the

Lord that if God would take the business and make it succeed, he would honour

Him in every way he possibly could. Indeed the business prospered and grew and

four years later Tam decided that he needed a senior partner. He therefore went

to a lawyer and asked Him to draft an agreement that made God his Senior

Partner. This agreement indicated that 51% of the profits of his companies would

go into missionary and church work. In the following years, the business really

prospered and soon Tam began to give away 60% of his income to missionary

work. On 15 January 1955, he told God that he would turn the entire business

over to Him and that he would no longer even be a stockholder in the company.

Founding additional companies, Stanley Tam continued giving. The United States

Plastic Corporation, established more than fifty years ago by Stanley Tam in

Lima, Ohio was also placed under the ownership of God. Stanley Tam placed

100% of the stock ownership into a foundation whose purpose is to establish

churches in Third World countries.4

A Kingdom business that is covenanted to God will no doubt enjoy seasons of

trials, but if the owner does not compromise the standards and principles of the

Kingdom of God, there will be a double or triple all-round restoration and God

will be glorified. God will not allow His business to fail if He is the Chief Executive

Officer (CEO).

The power of reflecting Jesus Christ in your business practices

This means that when you are taking any business decision you must always ask

yourself “what would Jesus Christ do in this matter?” This means that you

manage your Kingdom business strictly on biblical principles of honesty,

integrity, excellence etc. If you review the lifestyle of Jesus Christ, we see that He

was straight forward and open in everything that He did. He exemplified justice

and righteousness. Proverbs 3: 32 “For the Lord detests a perverse man but takes

the upright into his confidence” NIV. To be upright means that if your Kingdom

business undergoes an audit, and the results indicate that your company did not

pay some taxes, you must in all honesty arrange to pay the taxes and any fine

imposed on it. A Kingdom business operating in integrity will follow all laws of

the Kingdom of God and of the government of the country that the business

operates in and any other applicable national and international laws. If you are

upright, God takes you into His confidence and even gives you more divine ideas

and strategies to prosper you and your Kingdom businesses.

Proverbs 4: 24 “Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from

your lips.” NIV. These two Bible verses show us that honesty will always be

rewarded and dishonesty will not be rewarded.

Whatever we do in our Kingdom business, it must have high standards that will

honour God. In Deuteronomy 17:1, God said to Moses “Do not sacrifice to the

Lord your God an Ox or a sheep that has any defect or flaw in it, for that would be

detestable to him.” NIV. Since our work is some sort of sacrifice of worship unto

God, He therefore wants our businesses to have high standards. No short-cuts in

our production costs. We must produce the best that will bring glory to God.

The same standards of honesty apply when dealing with competitors.

Deuteronomy 19:14 “Do not move your neighbour‟s boundary stone set up by

your predecessors in the inheritance you receive in the land the Lord your God is

giving you to possess”NIV. In short, do not grab your neighbour‟s land. God will

hold you accountable to standards of honesty and integrity in all your business

transactions.

Literacy – Knowledge equals Power to Create Wealth

rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the

law of your God, I also will ignore your children.” NIV.

What does it mean to be financially literate?

According to wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia, financial literacy means the

ability to understand finance. More specifically, it refers to the set of skills and

knowledge that allow an individual to make informed and effective decisions

through their understanding of finances.

It means to have a good understanding about money, financial management and

investments. A person can be highly educated but financially illiterate. Many

Christians are financially illiterate. They take ad hoc decisions daily concerning

their finances, instead of operating with a financial management system.

In order to create Kingdom wealth, one has to take the time to study, read and

attend courses and seminars in order to become financially literate. There are

many books in the market that are quick and simple to read and to understand

that can teach an individual about financial management. A simple place to start

would be to read some books such as “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” and “Cash flow

Quadrant” by Robert Kiyosaki. They are simple to understand irregardless of ones

background. Start by having a financial plan, which will incorporate your short

and long term financial goals. It should include the percentage of your income

you should spend, save, invest and give out.

It is important to learn about the differences between such terms as assets,

liabilities, financial independence, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, good and bad

debt. It is easier to make financial decisions confidently when you understand

more about these issues. Finances and money should not intimidate you.

Learn about the mystery of compound interest, the different investments one can

make, why some investments are more risky than others etc.

Several financial literacy coaches in the market will sit down with you and assist

you to create a financial plan.

There is no shortcut to Kingdom wealth creation. One must have an in-depth

understanding about financial matters.

Every Kingdom Millionaire must understand the mystery of compound interest.

Compound interest is the magic behind long term financial savings and

investments. According to wikipedia the online encyclopaedia, compound interest

arises when interest is added to the principal, so that from that moment on, the

interest that has been added also itself earns interest. This addition of interest to

the principal is called compounding. A bank account, for example, may have its

interest compounded every year: in this case, an account with US$ 1000 initial

principal and 20% interest per year would have a balance of US$ 1200 at the end

of the first year, and US$ 1440 at the end of the second year if no additional

money was deposited or withdrawn from the account, and so on. In order to

define an interest rate fully, and enable one to compare it with other interest

rates, the interest rate and the compounding frequency must be disclosed. Since

most people prefer to think of rates as a yearly percentage, many governments

require financial institutions to disclose the equivalent yearly compounded

interest rate on deposits or advances. For instance the yearly rate for a loan with

1% interest per month is approximately 12.68% per annum.

In my best-selling e-book titled “Seven Secrets of the End-Time Wealth Transfer

Revealed – Unlocking Financial Mysteries of the Kingdom of God”, I indicated in

chapter two on the topic the profile of a Kingdom Millionaire that every Kingdom

Millionaire must be financially literate and that if he is not, he has to pay a

professional to teach him the basics of how to make his money to work for him.

This journey must begin with baby steps as usual. A Kingdom Millionaire needs to

learn the basics of investing, work with a professional and grow from there. I

want to quickly point out the five steps of investing simplified.

Step No. 1 – Know why you want to invest – This is very important as it will help

you create short and long term investment goals and it will guide you on whether

to take high or low risk investments. Investing for retirement and investing for

short term gains is not the same thing. Determine your reasons for investing and

this will guide you and your Financial Advisor on how to proceed. This will also

give you motivation and clarity about the decision to make.

Step No. 2- Learn the basics of how to invest. Even though you may use a

professional Financial Advisor, you have to learn the basics of what are stocks,

bonds, mutual funds, real estate are, what their risks and returns are and

additional information as to what are the tax implications of your investments.

You can learn this by reading books, attending seminars, asking questions, doing

research on the internet, taking simple evening courses and joining investment

clubs. In addition to this, you must learn about the power of compound interest.

Your education should take you to the level whereby when the evening news is

being read on television you can understand all the news from the business

section of the programme.

Step No. 3 – Pay off your high interest debts. The first step in learning how to

invest is getting rid of any high interest debts that you currently have such as

credit card debts. It does not make sense to invest, when you still have so much

debt. In addition it is also recommended that you adjust your lifestyle and

spending habits to enable you to save more. That US$ 15 snack per day can

translate into US$ 5475 per annum that you have saved and if it is invested at

compound interest rate of 20% per annum it becomes US$ 9460 extra money for

you in the bank or in your retirement fund after three years. What happened

here? You simply adjusted your lifestyle in order to invest into your retirement

fund.

Step No. 4 – Set investment goals. Everything that is serious and long term needs

a plan. If you fail to plan that means that you are planning to fail. It is therefore

mandatory to make an investment plan. Do not be too detailed as you can change

it as you go along. In your investment plan you should be able to answer some of

the following questions.

What are my short and long term financial goals?

What is my investing time horizon?

What type of investments will I make – stock, bonds, mutual funds, real

estate?

How much money do I need to reach my goals?

Will I need to live of my investments in the future?

Step No. 5. – Start investing and continue learning and growing in this area. Once

you have set up your plans and have some basic knowledge about investments,

just start the journey. Do not procrastinate any more. Make some initial small

investments, continue to read a book every month to learn more about

investments and even how to make more money to invest.

Wealth creation is a journey and there is something new to learn every day. The

wealthiest people in the world are those who have learned the secret of making

their money work for them over the long term through investments.

Chapter Six – Kingdom Principle No. 6 – The Stewardship

Factor – The Mystery of Giving

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down,

shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the

measure you use, it will be measured to you.” NIV

It is very important to understand the mystery of giving as far as Kingdom wealth

creation is concerned. It is a key that will open the floodgates of God‟s blessings

and favour. Once a Kingdom Millionaire has created a Kingdom business, aligned

it with the principles of the Kingdom of God, and continued to speak and hear

from God, he is in a position to obey God in the area of giving. A Kingdom

Millionaire has a lifestyle of giving, for him “giving is living”.

Giving is a key that will unlock many doors for a Kingdom Millionaire, however

this giving should not be motivated out of the attitude “I want to receive so let me

give”. The attitude behind the giving should be that of love, as simple as that.

Loving God and loving your neighbour.

The word giving is derived from the verb “to give” meaning to hand over as a

present, to deliver, to make a gift of or to sacrifice. I will focus on giving according

to the principles of the Kingdom of God.

The Almighty God is a Giver. The famous John 3: 16 says that “God so loved the

world that he GAVE his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him

should not perish but have everlasting life.” God created us in His Image,

therefore since He is a Giver, we are also wired up to be givers – that is the

bottom line. If we are not givers it is because we either do not understand the

principles of giving according to the Bible – the infallible Word of God, or we are

focused and want to hoard everything on ourselves, or we have given into the lies

of the devil to be selfish. In this, chapter I want to review some of the different

kinds of giving according to the Kingdom of God.

The Tithe

According to wikipedia, the online encyclopaedia, the word “tithe” means, “one

tenth part of something paid as a (usually) voluntary contribution or as a tax or

levy usually to support a religious organization. Today tithes (or tithing) are

normally voluntary and paid in cash, cheques or stocks, whereas historically,

tithes could be in kind, such as agricultural products.”

The first biblical record of tithing is found in Genesis 14. Abram‟s nephew Lot was

taken captive in a battle between some kings and their armies. When Abram set

out to rescue him, not only was he successful, but he also brought back a large

amount of spoils. Let us proceed to search the scriptures further.

Genesis 14: 11 – 20

“The four kings seized all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food;

then they went away. They also carried off Abram‟s nephew Lot and his

possessions, since he was living in Sodom. One who had escaped came and

reported this to Abram the Hebrew. Now Abram was living near the great trees of

Mamre the Amorite, a brother of Eschol and Aner, all of whom were allied with

Abram. When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out

the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan.

During the night, Abram divided his men to attack them and routed them,

pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus. He recovered all the goods

and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women

and the other people. After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the

kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the valley of

Shaveh (that is the King‟s valley).”

Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of

God Most High, and he blessed Abram saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most

High, Creator of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High who delivered

enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything” NIV.

The principle here is that Abram had the right to retain the spoils after winning

the battle, but he gave a tenth to the priest who was a representative of the Most

High God as some sort of acknowledgement that God owns it all – the earth and

the fullness thereof. A Kingdom Millionaire is called into the office of King and

Priest - that he is a Priest under the order of Melchizedek. This is an eternal

priesthood that was instituted before the levitical priesthood, and that existed

even before Jesus Christ and before Abraham. We are priests according to the

order of Melchizedek through Jesus Christ. Remember that Jesus Christ was not

from the Levi clan. He was from Judah, therefore, the priesthood of Jesus Christ

of which we are under is the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 7: 1 - 3 “For this Melchisedec, King of Salem, priest who met Abraham

returning from the slaughter of the Kings, and blessed him; to whom also

Abraham gave a tenth part of all ; first being by interpretation King of

Righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is King of peace; Without

father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor

end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.” NIV.

Psalms 110: 4 “The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: „You are a Priest

forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” NIV.

I am trying to prove that the principle of tithing is older than the Law that was

given to Moses, therefore the issue should not be whether we are being legalistic

or not.

Underlying the tithe was the basic idea that “the earth is the Lord‟s and all that is

in it” (Psalms 24:1). Tithing was an acknowledgement of God‟s ownership of

everything in the earth. Haggai 2: 8 “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine,

saith the Lord of Hosts.” NIV. The first born and the tenth of the flocks and herds,

and produce of the soil, were offered to God as being sacred to him. This income

dedicated to God was intended to represent all the produce of the land and all

property in general.

Tithes were a confession and an acknowledgement that the whole land and its

possessions belonged to God and that it is He, as the Owner, who gave them to us.

The giving or paying of tithes was meant to be an act of joyful worship and not a

tiresome burden.

Deuteronomy 12:12 “And there rejoice before the Lord your God, you, your

sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the Levites from

your towns, who have no allotment or inheritance of their own.” NIV.

Tithing was an expression of thanks to God for his generosity, therefore non

payment of tithe amounted to robbing God not of the material things but of the

recognition that all material things belong to him and that we are simply

stewards.

Now several Christians believe that the New Covenant Church is not obliged to

tithe. There are several theological debates about this, BUT to simplify this

discussion of “law versus grace tithing” I would like to state that as already

mentioned, tithing was simply acknowledging that God owns it all – the earth and

the fullness thereof - law or no law. He still owns it today as in the days of the

Patriarchs Moses and Abraham so I conclude that we need to continue to tithe.

The difference is that we will not be tithing animals or agricultural produce

especially if we are not leaving in an agrarian community, but we will tithe our

money. Should this be 10%? My conclusion is that let 10% be a starting point,

however seek the Holy Spirits guidance as to how much to tithe. In this

dispensation of grace, many Kingdom Millionaires are tithing upto 50%, 65% and

some even 70% of their increase. Yes, this is possible.

If you are faithful with a little, God will make you ruler over much. Many of these

Kingdom Millionaires were obedient and started with 10% but as they were

faithful, God continued to increase the divine ideas He was giving them, their

streams of income increased and He blessed the work of their hands and the more

they gave in form of tithe and other offerings and blessing others in need, the

more they received.

What does God promise to give the tither (the person who faithfully tithes)?

There are many promises in God‟s word for those who tithe faithfully.

As we tithe, the Lord‟s response is to open the windows of heaven. Malachi 3: 11

says He pours out for us “such blessing that there will not be room enough to

receive it.” Tithing activates this great blessing in our lives. God will also rebuke

the devourer for our sakes so that the fruit of our ground will not be destroyed

and the vine will bear fruit for us in the field.

Lastly, when the blessing of God falls upon us, many will notice it. Malachi 3:12

“And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land” says the

LORD of Hosts.” NIV.

Sacrificial Giving

This is referred to as sacrificial giving because the giver will feel the pinch. It will

not be an amount that is proportionate to what they have; it will be a very large

amount. Sacrificial giving can be done when one has completed a season of

waiting upon the Lord in prayer and fasting and this offering is to provoke the

heavens to release a miracle to them. Let us look at biblical examples of people

who gave sacrificially.

Mark 12: 41 – 44 - The widows offering.

“Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the

crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in

large amounts. However, a poor widow came and put in two very small copper

coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I

tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the

others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in

everything – all she had to live on.” NIV.

Another example of sacrificial giving involves the story of the widow of Zarephath

in 1st Kings 17: 7 – 16. The outcome of her sacrificial giving provoked a miracle

and she did not starve to death as she had anticipated.

Sacrificial giving provokes a supernatural encounter that can transform a person‟s

life and move them forward by divine acceleration.

2 Samuel 24: 25 “David built an altar to the Lord there and sacrificed burnt

offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the Lord answered prayer in behalf of the

land, and the plague of Israel was stopped.”

A sacrificial offering can also provoke God to stop judgement upon a community

or nation.

Giving to Missionaries

Let me just state that I have a lot of respect for missionaries. Missionaries who are

out in the field bringing the gospel to diverse groups of people really need the

support of the sons of God. This is in direct obedience to the Great Commission.

Matthew 28: 18 – 20 “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven

and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,

baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am

with you always, to the very end of the age.” NIV.

The spread of the good news of the gospel, otherwise known as evangelism, needs

your financial assistance. Missionaries need basic supplies, shelter, and food and

evangelism materials. You can start by supporting even one missionary family

with their monthly rent or children‟s school fees, but you have to be consistent

and then progress from there.

Just like all the other work of expanding the Kingdom of God, anyone who gives

to the work of missionaries will receive a “good measure, pressed down and

shaken together” blessing. It is important to have a burden for the lost souls, for

you to appreciate what it means to give to the work of missionaries. Do not just

pray for the lost souls in your family. Pray for the lost souls in the nations and

give so that these people can have an opportunity to hear the message of salvation

and not miss their ticket to heaven.

Parental Giving (Spiritual and Natural Parents)

There is a special blessing attached to this type of giving. Our spiritual parents

include those in the Body of Christ who are mentoring us to grow spiritually. Our

natural/biological parents are those who gave birth to us in the natural.

God has a special place in his heart for our parents. We too have an undeniable

responsibility towards them, especially in the way that we relate with them.

The parental blessing is very important and this is seen clearly in the life of the

Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the manner in which they blessed their

children. Those blessings followed them into their future generations, even up to

the tenth generation.

Ephesians 6: 1 – 3 “Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

“Honour your father and mother” – which is the first commandment with a

promise – “that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the

earth.” NIV.

Malachi 1: 6 “A son honours his father, and a servant his master. If I am a father,

where is the honour due me? If I am a master, where is the respect due me?” says

the Lord Almighty. “It is you, O Priests, who show contempt for my name. “But

you ask, „How have we shown contempt for your name?‟ NIV.

As indicated in the verse above, this is the first commandment attached with a

promise “that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the

earth”. It is important to honour your parents even if you do not agree with them.

The commandment was not given to us in a conditional form. We are to obey –

full stop. No negotiation. In addition, it is a good thing to bless your parents (both

spiritual and natural) with your wealth and substance, even if they are financially

independent. Blessing them in your giving is just showing them that you honour

them.

My natural/biological father has already gone home to be with the Lord, but my

natural/biological mother is alive. Even though she is retired and receives a

monthly pension, plus income from her other projects, I still give her some money

every month, just to show her that I honour her as my parent. This has brought a

lot of blessings into my life and just to confirm this read my testimony below.

A few years back I was in a prayer meeting and the Pastor who also had a

prophetic anointing upon his life, began to speak by prophesy and he said to me

that God was pleased with me with the way that I assist my parents, and that God

would give me all the finances I needed to complete many of the projects that I

had already began for them. This message was so profound and was a

confirmation to me that God really cares about these details in our lives. God

provided for me the finances that I needed to do many projects for my parents

and He has continued to provide more.

Proverbs 20: 20 – 22 “If a man curses his father or mother, his lamp will be

snuffed out in pitch darkness. An inheritance quickly gained at the beginning will

not be blessed at the end. Do not say, “I‟ll pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for

the Lord and he will deliver you.” NIV.

There are many people who complain about the problems their parents put them

through while they were growing up BUT that does not matter. First as a born-

again son of God, we are called to forgive unconditionally and to forget. There are

many people whose lives have been cut short because of this issue of

dishonouring their parents. Others simply never go above a certain level in life for

the same reasons. Several people argue that if they give money to their parents

who drink alcohol, they will misuse it. I say, buy them the necessary items and

still give them a reasonable amount of money, and pray over the money and God

will work out their salvation in due time. You are honouring them by blessing

them through your giving, their drinking notwithstanding. Who knows the

testimony of your obedience in honouring them might just be their entry point

into salvation.

I see many Kenyans in Nairobi living comfortable lives in cities while their

parents are suffering in the village. This is not good. Our parents have paid a

heavy price for us their children to be where we are. Therefore, it is our duty as

children to make sure that we look after our parents until they are called home to

be with the Lord. This act will cause us to reap many blessings that will even

overflow to our grandchildren.

We are required to bless our spiritual parents with our wealth and substance as

well. Many of them pay the price for us on their knees interceding for us. Many of

the challenges we have overcome easily is because of their sincere prayers for the

flock.

Giving to the prophets and pastors

Matthew 10:41 “Anyone who receives a Prophet because he is a Prophet will

receive a Prophet‟s reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he

is a righteous man will receive a righteous man‟s reward.” NIV.

Prophets and pastors are God‟s anointed servants sent to be a blessing to us. I am

referring to those who have been chosen and sanctified by God and not those who

have called themselves, because they see an opportunity to make money by

starting a ministry. Let as look at an example in the Bible of Elijah and the widow

of Zarephath.

1 Kings 17: 9 – 16 “Go at once to Zarephath of Sidon and stay there. I have

commanded a widow in that place to supply you with food.” So he went to

Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks.

He called to her and asked, “Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may

have a drink?” As she was going to get it, he called, “And bring me please a piece

of bread.” “As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don‟t have any

bread – only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few

sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it –

and die.”

Elijah said to her, “Don‟t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first

make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and

then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the

God of Israel says: „The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not

run dry until the day the Lord gives rain on the land.‟” She went away and did as

Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and

her family. For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry,

in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah.” NIV.

This is what I refer to as a Prophetic blessing. Can you imagine what would have

happened if this woman did not obey the Prophet of God? God wanted to do

something supernatural in her life and he used his Prophet as a vessel. We all

need prophetic encounters that can change our lives. One word form God through

his Prophet can change your story.

Giving to the Prophets of God grants you access into the prophetic unction that

they carry that will bring blessings and favour upon your life. These prophetic

blessings – you cannot put a price tag on them.

2 Chronicles 20:20(b) “Believe in the Lord your God, so shall you be established;

believe in his Prophets, so shall ye prosper.” KJV

Prophetic blessings last forever and they carry a lot of weight in the spiritual

realm. Isaiah 44: 26 “That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the

counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and

to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places

thereof.” KJV.

If you want to provoke blessings upon your life, and break through all those

barriers holding down your destiny, start giving to the genuine Prophets of God.

Things in your life will abound. Whatever you give will be multiplied and given

back to you.

Giving to the Poor

The Bible (both New and Old Testament) is full of instructions on how to treat the

poor. We have been urged not to harden our hearts towards the poor because they

will always be among us. We live in a fallen world where people have become

selfish and ignored the poor. We should however be reminded that poor people

are not the problem but rather the worldly Babylonian systems that have made

them poor.

Exodus 23:11 “But the seventh year thou shall let it (the land) rest and lie still;

that the poor of thy people may eat.” KJV.

Deuteronomy 15:7 “If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren

within any of thy gates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt

not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother.” KJV.

Deuteronomy 15:11 “For the poor shall never cease out of the land; therefore I

command thee saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy

poor and thy needy in thy land.” KJV.

Proverbs 19:17 “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that

which he hath given will he repay him again.” KJV.

John 12: 8 “For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.”

KJV.

God loves both the rich and poor. It is God‟s will for us who are not poor to be

kind and compassionate to the poor by blessing them and empowering them to

get out of their situations. I have heard that the best way to help poor people is to

first ensure that you are not poor. When you give to the poor, you are giving to

him on God‟s behalf, that is you are lending to the Lord. And you will get it back

multiplied.

What is God’s plan for the poor?

1Samuel 2:8 “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust and lifteth up the beggar from

the dunghill, to set them among Princes, and to make them inherit the throne of

Glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord‟s and he has set the world upon

them.” KJV.

Whom will God use to accomplish this task? You and I therefore our motive to

bless the poor is not to gain but should be out of a genuine love and concern for

them.

When you give to the poor, it will go well with you. Jeremiah 22:16 “He defended

the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to

know me?‟ declares the Lord.” NIV.

The Ministry of blessing the poor has a special prophetic covering and we read

this in Psalms 41: 1 – 2 “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will

deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive: and

he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of

his enemies.” KJV.

When God uses you to bless the poor amongst you, your enemies will never

triumph over you. God will stand by his word. In addition, God will preserve your

life from sickness and death.

Let us take a small diversion and review the life of someone in the Bible who God

preserved because he was a blessing to the poor. Job – yes you all know his story.

He lived in the land of Uz and he was blameless and upright and feared the Lord.

He was the greatest man among all the people in the East. However, Job went

through a season where God really tested him and he lost everything but not his

faith in God and in the end God restored to him double what he originally had.

Why was Job a wealthy man.? Let us unlock this mystery by reading Job 29 -

(please take some time to read the whole chapter).

Job 29: 11 – 17 “Whoever heard me spoke well of me, and those who saw me

commended me, because I rescued the poor who cried for help, and the fatherless

who had none to assist him. The man who was dying blessed me; and I made the

widow‟s heart sing. I put on righteousness as my clothing; justice was my robe

and my turban. I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame. I was a father to the

needy; I took up the case of the stranger. I broke the fangs of the wicked and

snatched the victims from their teeth.” NIV.

Job is my favourite example of a Kingdom Millionaire. He was a channel of

blessing to many people in the community that included the widow, the orphan,

the refugee and the poor. He was a servant-leader because he put on

“righteousness as his clothing.” God tested Job, he persevered and God restored

him and raised him up again.

Just as the promise in the above scripture indicates, God “preserved him and kept

him alive.”

From today, make it a point to be a blessing to the poor around you. Your reward

for fighting for the cause of the poor is clearly spelled out in the following

scriptures:

Isaiah 58: 8 - 12

“Then shall thy light break forth in the morning, and thine health shall spring

forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee and the glory of the

Lord shall be thy rereward. Then shalt thou call and the Lord will answer; thou

shalt cry and He shalt say Here I am, if thou take away from the midst of thee the

yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity. And if thou draw out thy

soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in

obscurity and thy darkness be as the noonday. And the Lord shall guide thee

continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones, and thou

shalt be like a well watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail

not. And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places; thou shall raise

up the foundations of many generations; and thou shall be called the repairer of

the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in.” KJV.

Psalms 112: 9 “He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his righteousness

endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honour.” NIV.

Principles of sowing and reaping

As we continue to look at the mystery of giving, we must review the principles of

sowing and reaping so that those of you who have been faithfully sowing and

wondering what is happening will stop worrying and enter into God‟s rest as you

await your season of harvest.

The principle of sowing and reaping operates by the natural and spiritual laws of

sowing and reaping. The first thing that is required is seed, the tools to dig the

ground, the field to dig and the farmer or person sowing the seed. After that, rain

is required to water the ground, then a season of waiting, and then a harvest

appears. Let us review the whole process.

Law No. 1 – We will always reap the kind of seed that we plant

If you plant maize seeds, your harvest will be maize stalk and cob with other

maize seeds. When you sow financial seeds into Gods Kingdom, you reap a

financial harvest. When you sow time into God‟s Kingdom, you harvest time.

Law No. 2 – We determine the size of our harvest at the time we are

planting our seeds

2nd Corinthians 9: 6, 8, 11 “Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap

sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. And, God is

able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times; having all

that you need, you will abound in every good work. You will be made rich in every

way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your

generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” NIV.

A farmer who plants more seeds in a larger piece of land or different pieces of

land will receive a better harvest than the one who plants few seeds in just one

field. We should give beyond our tithe. Let the tithe be the starting point and then

progress further from there. Try to give more every year and then every month.

The Christians I know that are enjoying true Kingdom wealth tithe more than

10%. Do not just expect monetary gains. Good health, a loving family and peace of

mind should be part of the package.

Law No. 3 – We will always have a harvest

Malachi 3: 10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food

in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw

open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not

have room enough for it.” NIV.

Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we

will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” NIV.

It is uncommon for a farmer to experience a crop failure, unless the conditions

are extremely adverse. In the case of giving, the success of the harvest is not

determined by natural laws but by the Lord himself, who is not a man to lie. God

watches over every word to perform it, and since He has promised you will receive

a harvest, you indeed will.

Law No. 4 – You will reap later than you sow

Once you start sowing seed, you will receive a harvest and take that seed again

and plant and then you receive another harvest and the cycle will continue. There

will always be a season of waiting for the seed to die, breakthrough the sand,

sprout, grow and produce fruit.

Law No. 5 – We will always reap more than we planted

Matthew 13: 8 “Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop – a

hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” NIV.

When you sow one kernel of corn, you will reap a stalk with several ears of corn

on it – possibly two or three and on the ears of corn are about 300 kernels per

ear. Therefore, you reap about 900 kernels from that one kernel (seed). This is

the law of increased return and it also works with spiritual sowing of financial

seed. That is why you are always told; do not eat all your harvest. Sow most of it

back.

Law No. 6 – There is a season of planting and one of harvesting

Ecclesiastes 3: 1 – 2 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity

under the heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time

to uproot.” NIV.

Genesis 8: 22 “While the earth remaineth seedtime and harvest, and cold and

heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” KJV.

Immediately the seed is sown it has to die in the ground, then break forth out of

the ground and sprout and grow and produce a harvest of fruit. The seed will not

germinate before its proper time; otherwise the harvest will be lost. Be patient

and wait for the correct season to harvest.

Law No. 7 – Seed can be sown secretly; however the harvest is always

seen by many

This is my favourite part! You will never fully know the price that a person has

paid in sowing a seed. Sometimes they have been faithful, have sown sacrificially

have been patient in waiting through prayer and fasting and this can all take

years. In the end, we see them when God has exalted them and His Glory is

revealed through them.

Law No. 8 – We are responsible to sow and God is responsible for the

harvest

Jeremiah 5: 24 “Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God,

that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us

the appointed weeks of the harvest.” KJV.

God will appoint our harvest time. He keeps track of the appointed weeks of our

harvest. Continue leaving a life of sowing and the harvests will continue to flow.

As you continue to reap/harvest, continue to sow. You reach a point where you

experience both sowing and reaping simultaneously. Why? As you are sowing in a

new season, you are reaping the harvest of another season.

Amos 9:13 “Behold the days are coming,” says the Lord, “when the plowman shall

overtake the reaper, and the trader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains

shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it.” KJV.

There is no short cut to the laws of sowing and reaping – especially with finances

in the Kingdom of God. If you have not started, just start now – no more

procrastination. Why? One day you will get to heaven and Jesus will point out to

you a huge warehouse and tell you, my son, that is your harvest storehouse. I

always wanted to release this harvest to you, but you were not sowing. How sad

this will be.

Remember that God is not a magician. He will test you to see your heart and your

faithfulness. Your motives for giving will be tested. Over a period of time, you will

continue to get divine ideas that will lead to additional streams of income in your

life.

The summary of what you will see happening is this:

You will receive many divine ideas for Kingdom wealth creation.

God will give you favour and open doors for you as you take the initiative

to work on the divine ideas that He has given you. God will also guide you

on the strategy to pursue to turn these ideas into Kingdom wealth.

God will continue to bless the work of your hands and prosper your

Kingdom projects.

I am living proof that this works.

Remember that you are making deposits in your spiritual bank account in heaven.

What is going on up there will eventually come down. You are in the season of

sowing so be patient, and have faith that God will not go against His Word. The

season of reaping will soon appear when your clouds are full and it is time for the

rain of blessings to pour out. Ecclesiastes 11:3(a) “If clouds are full of water, they

pour rain upon the earth.” NIV. All I can tell you is this: “And let us not be weary

in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6: 9.

Chapter Seven – Kingdom Principle No. 7 – Discipling

Nations – The Mystery of the End-Time Wealth Transfer

Kingdom Key

Matthew 5: 13 - 16 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt has lost its

saltiness, how can it be made salty again. It is no longer good for anything, except

to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a

hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.

Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the

same way let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds

and praise your father in heaven.” NIV.

The expansion of the Kingdom of God on earth is multi-dimensional, and this

includes sustained community and national transformation. God has called the

Kingdom Millionaires to use their resources for long term Kingdom assignments.

We are to take the Kingdom of God where the kingdom of darkness in

entrenched. Once light comes in the darkness disappears. God‟s presence and

power in a community and nation should be felt outside the walls of the church.

Marketplace transformation has become a common phrase amongst Christians in

this season. The marketplace is the heart of society; it is broader than the realm of

business; it is the context for every kind of social transformation. The word

transformation is derived from the verb “to transform” that means a marked

change of something in appearance or character, especially one for the better.

Therefore the word marketplace transformation involves the personal, regional

and global expansion of God‟s Kingdom through His manifest presence, which

results in sustained societal transformation. The key word here is sustained.

According to the vision that God gave Loren Cunningham of Youth with a Mission

and Bill Bright of Campus Crusade in 1975, there are seven strategic mountains of

influence that shape the minds of the people of the culture of every nation. The

marketplace is the arena in which these influences are displayed. As God‟s people

capture these strategic mountains, there will be sustained marketplace

transformation and the reaping of national harvest. The seven mountains of

influence are:

1. Home

2. Church

3. Education

4. Government and Politics

5. Media – Electronic and Printed

6. Performing Arts, Entertainment and Sports

7. Commerce – Finance, Science and Technology

In this season God has been releasing divine revelation to the Body of Christ

concerning these seven mountains. They are supposed to guide us on how to carry

out the Great Commission of Mathew 28 to disciple nations for God. This

commission calls every believer to continue the ministry that Jesus Christ and his

followers modeled. The majority of Jesus‟ miracles happened in the marketplace,

and most of His parables concerned the marketplace.

The Kingdom gospel that Jesus Christ preached and demonstrated is a gospel

meant to transform every sphere of society. The true fulfilment of the Great

Commission will bring people into a complete experience of the Kingdom of God

that includes godly economic systems and forms of government, education

anchored in God‟s word, families with Jesus at the head and entertainment that

portrays God in His variety and excitement, media based on communicating the

truth in love, and churches that serve as sending stations for missionaries to all

areas of society.

This chapter is to assist you the reader to understand how God wants to use you

in your “mountain” or sphere of influence so that you can fulfil your God-given

destiny to change the world. This sums up what Jesus Christ preached that once

we give priority in seeking first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness,

then all these things (wealth included) will be added unto us. If God can trust us

with the task of bringing His presence into all spheres of society, hence bringing

sustained marketplace transformation, then the flood gates to receive the wealth

of the wicked will be permanently wide open. Hallelujah!

Revelations 11: 15 - The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud

voices in heaven, which said: “the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom

of our Lord and of his Christ, and He will reign for ever and ever.” NIV.

I have done many interesting things in my life, but for now one of the most

important things that I have ever done in the recent past includes participating in

the “Oakseed Executive Leadership Course” that was conducted by Prof. Vincent

Anigbogu of the Institute of National Transformation. I participated with the

class that was conducted in Kampala, Uganda from November 2008 to April

2009. The Institute of National Transformation has a vision to develop value-

grounded, no-excuse African Leaders that will transform their organizations,

communities and nations to greater levels of performance and achievement. I am

currently an Alumnus of the Institute and was commissioned to take this message

of marketplace transformation to the nations. So this is exactly what I am doing

through this book that you are reading.

This was one of the courses that opened my eyes to our role as Christians in the

marketplace. I was immediately converted and from that time, I have not stopped

talking about the Kingdom of God in the marketplace and what it means to be a

Marketplace Minister.

Christians in the marketplace are not content to just quietly read their bibles

during the lunch break and hand out tracts. They are wondering how much more

they can do after church service on Sunday. The desire to no longer separate their

spiritual lives from their career and business lives is leading to the growth of this

marketplace transformation movement.

Ed Silvoso, who, in my opinion, is one of the fathers of this movement of

marketplace transformation, puts it this way: “This transformation movement is

different because it is spiritual without being religious. Even though faith in God

is the central tenet, there is no religious flavour to it. In fact, more than in houses

of worship, it is primarily taking place in the marketplace. It is revolutionary

without being rebellious. It is contagious without being infectious. It is

empowering without being overpowering. It is personal while at the same time

touching cities and nations. It is both death defying and life-giving, because it is

being facilitated by people who are overcoming systemic evil by the blood shed on

the cross by the Holy One, people who have exchanged their lives for His life (see

Rev: 12:11).”5

My general view about this matter is that it is closely tied or linked to the end-

time wealth transfer. Like never before, the Kingdom of God is advancing and

nations are being impacted and transformed by the power of God. God is raising

not just Christian businessmen, but Kingdom businesses which will operate in the

power of an end-time anointing and in the awesome strength of prophetic

purpose to open up channels of biblically prescribed wealth into the Kingdom so

that we may finish the purposes of the Lord. John 4: 34 “My food,” said Jesus “is

to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.” NIV.

The marketplace was redeemed after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ,

and it is therefore the role of the Christians in the marketplace to play a key part

in advancing the Kingdom of God where darkness is entrenched. This agenda

includes prayer, spiritual warfare and practical assignments. Christians need to

move into the marketplace and declare as Jesus Christ did that the “Kingdom of

God has come into this place and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Christians should no longer be complacent with the manner in which the

“ungodly worldly/Babylonian systems” have become entrenched in the

marketplace; they should pray, raise altars to Jehovah - God, strategize and take

the necessary action to uproot the kingdom of darkness from the marketplace.

When we talk of a Babylonian worldly system, we refer to one with its origins in

Babylon whose origins are found in the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11: 1 – 9). The

Tower of Babel was a symbol of something that was built using the strength of

man and the systems of man. God had nothing to do with it. These systems are

entrenched in the marketplace and in the same manner that God judged Babel,

He will judge these systems. In fact this judgement has already begun and this is

why we are seeing economic recession in many nations. The worldly Babylonian

economic systems are collapsing so that Kingdom of God systems may arise.

While many Economists are talking of global recession, God is positioning his

sons for a transfer of wealth to move from these Babylonian systems to be

managed by his sons who are operating under the mandate and principles of the

Kingdom of God. There should be no vacuum. Christian Entrepreneurs should

position themselves in every sector in the business mountain and in all the other

six mountains. When the judgement of God is complete, there should already be

Christians positioned in the relevant leadership positions in the marketplace and

begin to transform the society.

In order to become a Marketplace Leader who will bring transformation into your

community and nation, many people will have to change their thinking patterns.

There has to be a paradigm shift from our ideology that evangelism can only be

done through the mainstream church and not in the marketplace. There has to be

a paradigm shift in the manner in which Christians view wealth, power and

influence. There also has to be a paradigm shift in the manner in which Christians

view their vocation as secular and not spiritual. Lastly, there has to be a paradigm

shift in the relationships between the “clergy” and the “laity.”

Romans 12: 1 – 2 “Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God‟s mercy to offer

your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual

act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be

transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and

approve what God‟s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” NIV.

Jesus Christ said that the Kingdom of God is in us – the Christians, we are

therefore responsible for advancing this kingdom wherever we live and work. Our

homes, communities and workplaces will only be transformed as we affect them

with the values of the Kingdom of God. We the Christians have a divine

assignment to transform our communities.

In these last days, many people will give their lives to Jesus Christ when they see

the practical love of the Christians through charitable deeds and actions that

impact and transform the community positively.

The Great Commission that was given to mankind is multi-dimensional. It means

the evangelization of individuals, communities and nations. In addition, it

includes influencing, affecting and transforming these communities and nations

with the values and principles of the Kingdom of God.

The message of marketplace transformation is very new and Christians need to

take time to hear and learn what God is saying concerning this important topic.

Marketplace transformation is not a course that is taught in Bible Colleges;

therefore, further research needs to be done to see how it can be incorporated into

diverse Christian learning institutions.

Currently, in most churches, less than 5% of the people are in the clergy or rather

- full time ministry. This usually includes the Pastors, Assistant Pastors,

Counsellors and some church workers. The rest, slightly more than 95% of the

people attending church are in the marketplace from Monday to Saturday. How

can God use them to win souls and expand the Kingdom of God? What are these

95% of the people supposed to do with the “spiritual gifts” that God has given

them? Should they only use these gifts on Sunday in church or are these gifts also

applicable in the marketplace? As Christians, we are called to be “Kingdom-

minded” and to see the work of the Kingdom of God beyond our local churches.

It is clear that the next move of God is already taking place in the marketplace

therefore Christians should not be ignorant of what is happening. In his book

God @Work – Developing Ministers in the Marketplace, Rich

Marshall defines what the characteristics of a Marketplace Minister are. He says

that the seven signs that distinguish a Marketplace Minister include the

following:

1. Signs and wonders

2. Authority

3. Bondage Breakers

4. Wealth transfer

5. Hearing the voice of God

6. Biblical Entrepreneurs

7. Reaching nations6

As Kingdom Millionaires in the marketplace, our involvement should no longer

be limited to handing out tracts to our colleagues. We need to understand the

principles of the Kingdom of God and use them on a daily basis to bring sustained

societal transformation.

1st Peter 2: 9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a

people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you

out of darkness into his wonderful light.” NIV

How can we show forth the praises of God in the marketplace? By ensuring that

we bring the fullness of the Kingdom of God into the marketplace and then the

presence and Glory of God shall come into our spheres of influence.

Ms. Anne Nekesa Obara is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the

Kingdom Millionaires Limited, an organization that she established to “empower

Christians to become Marketplace Leaders.” She is a Servant-leader who desires

to see the Kingdom of God manifested in the marketplace. The Lord has endowed

Anne with a special grace and gift to present this message of the Kingdom of God

in the marketplace with ease and simplicity.

Anne is a multi-talented “woman after God‟s own heart.” She has a Bachelor of

Arts Degree in French, German and Sociology from the University of Nairobi and

a Masters degree in Business Administration from the United States International

University – Africa.

retirement from her position of Management Quality Coordinator/Deputy

Country Director of a faith-based NGO based in Kigali, Rwanda in 2007 to pursue

her long-term dream of becoming an Entrepreneur/Business Owner. Anne is

currently a respected Author/Internet Entrepreneur/Infopreneur/Marketplace

Transformation Consultant and Business Owner involved in various Kingdom

business initiatives.
