“Simple Truths for Life”: Sligo’s Radio Ministry, can be heard each Sabbath morning from 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. on WGTS 91.9 FM. Listen with a friend, then invite them to come to church in person at 11:15 a.m.!

Refreshments will be provided by all the hospitality teams combined and led by Brenda Peace after the 11:15 a.m. service today in the Fellowship Hall.

Today’s Sanctuary Flowers are from the Sligo Church congregation with praise and thanksgiving to God for the beautiful ministry of our Congregational Pastor, Debbie Eisele!

Charlotte Conway’s sister, Laila Stowell, passed away on September 25. The funeral service for her will be held in the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church in Texas on Sunday, September 30.

Long time Sligo member June Gleason Roys passed away on September 18. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 7 @ 4 p.m. at Spencerville SDA Church. Condolences may be sent to Gil Roys at 2233 Kingshouse Road, Silver Spring, MD 20905

Ordination Service: We welcome leaders of the Potomac Conference who will be conducting an ordination service here at Sligo Church today, September 29, commencing at 6:30 p.m., in which our own Pastor Debbie Eisele will be ordained. All are invited to witness this joyous occasion!

DSLR Photo/Video workshop: On Sunday, Septem-ber 30, we will conduct a DSLR Photo/Video workshop in the Media Room at 10 a.m.. This training is open to all who would like to learn how to take photos and video with DSLR cameras. However, particular emphasis will be placed on those who would like to take photographs and videos of our church’s ministries and activities. No equipment or knowledge is required, just a desire to learn and put your gifts to service.

RAISE THE ROOF! You are invited to join the Sligo family this Tuesday, October 2, from 7-8 p.m. as we seek God’s divine power, through prayer, in preparation for ac-complishing our mission of bringing souls to Jesus by any means necessary. Come and let’s “Raise the Roof!”

Sligo Women’s Ministries Book Club will meet on Monday, October 8 at 7 p.m. in the Discipleship Room to discuss Tally’s Corner by Elliot Liebow.

Sligo Church will be 105 years old on October 12. Stop by the Information Desk in the Atrium if you would like handouts- including the group photo and Sligo history, from our Centennial Sabbath Celebration.

Attention 55+ Club Members! Our next meeting will take place on Sunday, October 14 in Fellowship Hall A at 10 a.m.

Adventurer Induction Service: The Adventurer Club will be holding it’s annual induction service in the Youth Chapel on October 13, from 2:30 - 4 p.m. All adventur-ers, parents, family and friends are welcome to be part of this ceremony.
