Careeropportunities in technologycontinue to growas the fieldexpands andadapts to theever-changingshape of the world.

Technology plays a large role in oureveryday lives, and as organizationscontinue to adopt increasinglysophisticated technologies, those withtechnical expertise will have many more career options available to them.According to the Bureau of LaborStatistics, information technologymanagers, computer scientists, database administrators, systemsanalysts, and software engineers areexpected to be among the pace-settersfor job growth through at least 2014.

The area of homeland security and safety is also experiencingexponential growth as private andpublic sector organizations in the U.S. and abroad recognize the need for modern security in a changing world. Along with the seeminglylimitless number of job opportunities, other areas of engineering like wirelesscommunications are also booming. Use of wireless technologies and devices by individuals and businessescontinues to expand rapidly, resulting in the need for qualified wirelesscommunications engineers.
