SCBA Storage on Rosenbauer Pumpers

Locations

Captain, FF/Paramedic, & FF all located their respective seats Engineer’s SCBA is in Comp 4

Engineer’s SCBA Deployment

• Open Compartment 4

• Press down on Yellow tabs on both sides on drawer.

• Slide out drawer until it locks

• Grab handles and pull down

Engineer SCBA Deployment

• Remove Retention Strap

• Lift SCBA over head and place on your back

• Fold SCBA Bracket back up.

• Slide Drawer back into Comp 4

Stowing SCBA in Rosenbauer Engine

• Make sure all straps are folded up and contained inside storage box.

• Press bottle firmly into bracket

• Place retention strap around SCBA

• Fold bracket plate back up.

• Slide drawer back into compartment.

CAUTION!!

Never cinch SCBA straps up while vehicle is in motion. If shoulder straps are tight, SmartDock will not retain bottle in the event of an accident.

Deployment

Always wear seat belt when vehicle is in motion

Place SCBA straps on shoulders After arriving on scene cinch up

straps on shoulders Lean forward Stand up SCBA bottle will automatically be

released from SmartDock

Troubleshooting• Make certain claw

assembly works smoothly everyday during checkout

• Make sure bottle is seated on valve retention tab correctly

• Make sure height adjustment is correct (claw assembly should barely touch top of bottle – no more than 1/8” space.)

• Bottle heights may vary slightly. Check every time bottle is put in bracket.
