Photo Shoot Days Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November

at Steppes School of Dance 3 Sydenham Street, Highett 3190

Every year Steppes holds professional photo shoots sessions for all classes performing

in our end of year performances. Students are not needed for all dates and times.

Classes are timetabled into sections over these dates. Although not everyone will

purchase these professional photographs, we still ask that all students attended.

We will have signs up relating to check in and check out point areas. It can become

very congested at the studio when students are being dropped off and checking in

for their photos. With this in mind, and for OH&S (Occupation Health & Safety) reasons,

parents and families are not able to stay and watch during photo sessions. Students

over the age of 13yrs (Year 7 at Secondary School) may sign themselves out if they

come with a signed note from a guardian. This is to be presented at check in and

out. They cannot just leave Steppes.

Steppes Stage Makeup

It is necessary for students to wear make up on stage as the strong lighting can wash their skin colouring and features out. All students should have their own make up, we encourage children to have their own lipsticks and not share with others. Please do not apply lipstick before they arrive but put in their bags. Our volunteers will put lipstick only on the children.

Foundation / Base Try to match to student’s skin tone apply to face and even out in the neck

Eye shadow Brown eye shadow at the bottom of the eyelid, the a lighter brown gradually getting lighter towards the eye brow

Lipstick A bright red

Eyeliner / Mascara Only for students who will not rub eyes

False Eye lashes Optional for students 10yrs. 12yrs and upwards to senior students we would prefer

Blush Not too much blush but enough to high light cheekbones, do not put in circles.

Performance Kit We suggest that parents make their children a performance kit to have in their bag with the following items: Water, Snack (nothing that contains nuts) & Drink, Lipstick, Makeup, Hairpins – spare both bobby and French / Fringe pins, Hair net – spare, Tissues, Hairbrush
