Sample presentation on Safety in the Workshop. 1Safety Boots

Safety Boots must be worn when in the workshop. It protects our feet including our toes from being damaged if an item falls on them. It also protects us from chemicals or solvents that might spill on our feet. 3Workshop Apron

Workshop Apron must be worn at all times. It protects our cloths from being damaged by metal, timber and tooling but it also keeps our clothes clean. 4Hair Net

Hair nets must be worn if you have long hair. It protects our hair from being pulled out when using machinery.5Welding Gloves.

Welding gloves must be used when preforming any type of welding. It stops our hand and arms being burnt from hot objects and it also protects us from UV rays whilst welding. 6Welding Helmet

Welding helmets must be worn when using Metal arc welders or MIG welders. It protects our eyes and face from UV rays and also protects eyes and face from hot matter whilst welding. 7No Running

No running at any time in the workshop. Running could cause injury to not only the person running if they slip but worse it could cause others injuries to others as they could slip and hit a person using a sharp tool or machine. 8No Throwing

No throwing any objects in the workshop. Throwing tools or objects can cause injury to others if they are using machinery or if the object hits them. 9No food or drink

No food or drink is allowed in the workshop. A workshop is not a hygienic place to be eating and drinking. Dirt and chemicals such as solvent could contaminate the food product. 10Stop trip Hazard
