Principal’s Message, Happy Easter to all. It is a Christian Celebration of Hope and New Beginnings. We hope you have a safe and happy time with your families. Next week school begins on Tuesday and the mornings may be a little more re-laxed with the ending of Daylight Savings.
Easter Ceremonies This weekend we celebrate Easter in our parish with the following ceremonies & times: Holy Thursday 29th March: Mass of the Lord’s Supper in Finley at 7pm Good Friday 30th March: Stations of the Cross - Tocumwal & Finley at 10am Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion in Tocumwal at 3pm
Saturday 31st March: Easter Vigil Mass - Finley at 7pm Easter Sunday 1st April: Mass - Tocumwal at 8.30am, Finley at 10.15am
Permission forms We still have 2 families with outstanding media release and local excursion per-mission forms. Parents are asked to read, sign & return the paperwork as soon as you can. Thankyou.
Deanery Cross Country Sacred Heart will once again host the Deanery Cross Country. This year it will be held in Week 11 on Thursday 12th April. Meal Deal order forms are asked to be returned to school by next Wednesday 4th April. If you available to help on the day, please speak to Mrs McLeod.
PUPIL FREE DAY Parents are reminded , we are having a Professional Development day for staff on Monday 9th April. As a consequence it will be a PUPIL FREE DAY. Sacred Heart will be host-ing the day with speaker Mr Brendan Spillane visiting. Teachers and staff will be attending from Lockhart, Urana, Jerilderie, Berrigan & Finley to take part in the workshop.
ANZAC Day
Just a reminder, although Anzac Day is in our school holidays we would still like to see all of our students march on the day. Everyone is to assemble at ‘The Fish’ at 10:45am - from there march to the RSL Hall for the Commemorative Service due to start at 11:00am. All students are to wear their WINTER uniform, please.

Rotating Dinner Although, Saturday 5th May seems some time away, it is at the end of our first week back in Term 2!! Time to think about and plan for our next fund raiser—the Rotating Dinner. Looks to be an entertaining and enjoyable night out. Put you name down to host or just attend—this will be an event to enjoy the company of others in a social setting.
Drama Casting for this year’s play is now completed. The main players are listed:
