“Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him.” —PSALM 62:5, HCSB
“Come with me … to a quiet place and
get some rest.” —MARK 6 :31 , N IV
When was the last time you left behind the
daily stress and distractions in your life and
focused on God’s presence and purpose for
you? Come to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains
of Asheville, N.C., and find refreshment at Billy
Graham’s retreat center.
“Four words embody our deepest desires and
prayers for The Cove,” explained Mr. Graham
during its dedication in 1993: “instruction,
inspiration, intercession, and impact.” His wife,
Ruth, established four pillars as well. “The
Cove is a place of retreat, rest, relaxation, and
renewal,” she said. Each year, tens of thousands
of guests experience the Grahams’ prayerful
vision firsthand. There are three ways that
you can too—attend retreats or other Cove
programs, hold your own event here (page 27),
or tour the Chatlos Memorial Chapel and
Ruth’s Prayer Garden (page 23).
YOU ARE INVITED
“The Son is the radiance of God’s
glory and the exact expression of His
nature, sustaining all things by His
powerful word.” —HEBREWS 1 :3 , HCSB
Each of us was made for
a purpose. Do you know
what yours is? Perhaps
you feel it’s to be the
best spouse, parent, or
friend that you can be.
Maybe it’s to lead a life of service to others. These
are all truly wonderful. At The Cove, we believe
those missions grow out of your actual purpose.
God’s Word reveals that you and I were created,
first and foremost, to have an intimate friendship
with Jesus—to glorify and enjoy Him forever.
Everything about The Cove—from inviting inns
and caring hospitality to chef-prepared meals
and scenic walking trails—is designed to help
you relax and focus on your eternal purpose.
Come retreat to this mountaintop and “meditate
on these things” (Philippians 4:8, NKJV). Draw
closer to Jesus Christ through prayer and the
study of Scripture and be renewed.
WILL GRAHAM Executive Director
EXPLORE GOD’S WORD AND FIND RENEWAL
“The Lord gives His people
strength; the Lord blesses
His people with peace.”
—PSALM 29 : 1 1 , HCSB
The Gospel of Jesus
Christ is the only source
of lasting hope and
true peace. It’s the only
power that can bring
real change in lives,
families, and communities. Men and women
from around the world come to The Cove
to experience this power during life-changing
seminars and Personal Spiritual Retreats.
Here at this 1,200-acre getaway, gifted Bible
teachers guide people as they meet with God
through His Word, His Spirit, and His people.
Come experience “the gospel of peace”
(Romans 10:15, NKJV) and see what God will
do in your life. Invite Him to deepen your
relationship with Him and get better equipped
to share the message of salvation in Jesus
Christ with those around you.
FRANKLIN GRAHAM President Billy Graham Evangelistic Association
EXPERIENCE GOD’S POWER AND PEACE
“The experience
here at The Cove is like no
other. Connecting to
God and with all He created
is the best gift I have
received in my
adult life.”
“Just four weeks
ago, I told my
husband that when our youngest
son leaves the house, so will I. This weekend
not only reconnected me to God but also
my spouse. It put a renewed fire in my heart
and restored hope in me. This Cove
seminar has
given me the
tools I need.”
ENCOUNTERS WITH GOD
“I came
overwhelmed.
I am leaving
with air in my
lungs again.”
“Our experience
at The Cove
has been rare and
wonderful! We have been able
to be free to speak openly
about our struggles, pray with
others who understand where
we are coming
from, and receive
top quality
pastoral training.”
“My wife and I
had a wonderful
time recommitting
our lives together for the Lord.
Miracle time here! We hiked
to the chapel and it was
delightful. The food was
amazing. What
a life-changing
three days.”
