areas which house a majority of the city’s IT industry and other sectors.

•  Increase in vehicle population show no signs of abating and government is reluctant to introduce punitive measures.

Conclusion• Bangalore has benefitted from the growth

boom of the past few decades, but road and transport haven’t grown proportionately which has caused turmoil on roads today.

• Public funds for transportation projects must be targeted in the future in a manner that leverages the strategic benefits of the investment through real coordinated road and transport strategies.
