For our SPICE topic we have

chosen the Cheetah because

it is fast, unique and powerful.

Our SPICE Journey

This will help with the sense of smell. The cheetah will have to look for our enrichment toy in it`s habitat and then it will pounce on it while trying to rip out the meat.

We are targeting the cheetah’s hunting skills and the sense of smell. We were going to cut a hole in it and put some raw rabbit meat in it. (this is for the zookeepers to do)

Behaviour

Here we are taping the legs onto the side of our enrichment toy. Muskaan is cutting the tape and Taylor is holding the leg onto the body while Rene is taping.

It was hard at first but then it started getting easier.

THE MAKING

When it was pack up time we had to put it in the shared space. The next day it dropped causing us to rebuild it. A while later the top part of our body slid down. We had to use the hot glue gun to glue the box back together with the legs. We had to put masking tape on the legs all over again.
