Release Highlights

Support Lifespan Version 4.8 of RainbowSAP suite release date is set to 2019, April.

Support for older versions will be maintained till 2019, September.

Following that date, D'PROS will no longer provide fixes, updates and assistance for older

versions. We highly encourage our customers to perform the version upgrade prior to this

date.

What's New? The following table is a summary of new features and bugs fixed added in version 4.8.

Table 1: IDoc - New capabilities -

# Feature Description

1 Enhanced Selection Screen/ALV Columns Generation

Selection screen was re-designed with a more robust

mechanism, which allows a better handling for update of

selection screen fields. 2 Support Segments with

Qualifier Some IDocs contains multi-occurrence segment with qualifier,

in which every segment refers to the different object (e.g.

Qualifier/attribute name - Value, Partner function - details,

etc.).

Customizing table "Indexation Fields" was extended with new

field: Qualifier value, which now allows multiple mapping of

segment field (with different qualifiers) to separate fields. 3 Monitor - Messages View In IDoc Monitor it's possible to select IDocs and switch later to

messages view (List of all messages).

It's now possible to select initial view (Data or Messages)

directly from selection screen.

4 Monitor - Messages Mode Selection screen was enhanced with Messages mode

parameter which allows selection of messages output mode:

All/Latest. 5 Customizing: Indexation Fields -

Validation Checks Validation checks were added to customizing of Indexation Fields.

6 Customizing: Indexation Fields - Field Description

Field description was added to customizing of Indexation fields

for better orientation.

7 Customizing: Indexation Fields - Suggest Reference Field on Insert

In customizing of Indexation fields, reference fields are now auto-suggested already on insert, instead of only on save.

Table 2: IDoc - Bug Fixes -

# Bug

1 In customizing of IDoc (Transaction /DCM/IDMN_MAINT), IDoc extension name could be defined.

However, due to technical limit, Extension field (CIMTYP) was limited to 27 characters, which

means that extension names longer than 27 characters couldn't be defined.

Extension name was redundant and removed from customizing.

2 Change document object was available also in Non-ERP systems.

Code was re-designed to include HR implementation in a separate shipment/CR.

3 Every time that Change document object was changed (Since last execution in this or other

session), screen was re-generated even in case no changes were made in customizing.

4 Field values could contain duplicate values in parent segment in case of field with conversion exit

and/or in grandparent (and parent of grandparent, etc.) segments.

5 Selection by all messages didn't work, i.e. Selection was always done only by last messages. 6 Irrelevant functions were available in menu:

Edit -> Cancel, Grid View -> List View / Fullscreen View / Grid View.
