RECYCLING BIN – YELLOW LID

Please place everything in your recycling bin loose, not in plastic bags.

Your yellow top recycling bin is emptied fortnightly on the same day as your normal rubbish collection.

Bins will be emptied on public holidays except Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Good Friday (bins will be emptied on Saturday)

Place your recycling bin on the verge, within 1m from the kerb and 0.5m from your household rubbish bin by 6am.

Bins MUST be placed at least 0.5m clear from fences, walls, garages, letterboxes, roofs, gutters, cables, etc.

VERGE COLLECTIONS – GREEN WASTE AND JUNKThe City collects green waste twice a year and general junk once a year. You will be notified of the date for your collection via a flyer in your letterbox approximately 10 days prior to the collection date. Provisional green waste dates are advertised on the website.

Do not place items on your verge until you are invited to do so via flyer. Waste placed on the verge outside of the allocated collection time is classed as a verge obstruction and can incur a littering fine (maximum penalty $5000). Junk collections have a designated weekend.

YOUR WHEELIE BIN Bins MUST be out by 6am on collection day. Bins MUST be returned to property by end of bin collection day. Do not leave bins out overnight after collection. Bins exceeding 70kg cannot be lifted by the truck. Bins are not transferable so must remain on the property. The following must NOT be placed in your Waste or Recycle Bins:• Soil, rock, gravel, sand, bricks or building materials.• Wood or tree stumps, large branches or sticks.• Car or engine parts.• Containers with oil, paint or chemicals in them.• Hot ashes.• Batteries, CFLs and e-waste.

Recycling bins containing non-recyclables will not be emptied. Please refer page above for correct items.

Drop ‘n’ Shop Reuse Centre Open: Thursday to Sunday – check website for hours.

MULCH is available to residents, while stocks last. Residents can load their own trailers up to 3m3 at no charge or can have their trailer loaded by machine for a fee between 9am to 4pm.

City of Armadale pensioners can have trailers loaded by machine on Tuesday mornings between 9am to noon at no charge.

ROLEYSTONE GREENWASTE FACILITYSpringdale Road, RoleystoneOpen: 8am to 4.45pm, on the first and third weekend of the month.Closed: Christmas Day & New Year’s Day.The facility accepts green waste only.

MULCH available for self loading only, trailers up to 3m3 at no charge.
