The Quinnipiac ChronicleThe Quinnipiac Chronicle, in its 84th year, is the official student newspaper of Quinnipiac University. With 80 percent campus readership, the Chronicle is the best option for reaching a diverse range of QU students, faculty and staff. The Chronicle publishes news, arts & life, interactive, opinion and sports sections each Wednesday during the academic year.

Ad space must be reserved a week prior to print. Artwork is due Friday prior to print.

Circulation and Distribution

Each week during the academic year, 2,000 copies of the Quinnipiac Chronicle are distributed across the school’s three campuses as well as the local Hamden area.

* Advertisements in special issues carry an additional 10 percent cost due to increased circulation numbers. Typically, an additional 500 papers are printed, but specific numbers are subject to change.

QBSN: The MagazineQBSN: The Magazine is a high-gloss, 24-page publication featuring in-depth coverage, exclusive content, photos and interviews focusing on Quinnipiac athletics. The magazine is in its second year and has quickly become the cornerstone for sports coverage at Quinnipiac.

Twice each semester, 1,000 copies of QBSN: The Magazine are printed and distributed around Quinnipiac’s three campuses and at athletic events.

WQAQ 98.1 FM RadioWQAQ 98.1FM is the official student-run radio station of Quinnipiac University. It broadcasts both over the air and online 24/7 while school is in session. The QBSN Live BroadcastThe Quinnipiac Bobcats Sports Network is the sole broadcaster for most Quinnipiac athletics. Live broadcasts and video coverage for home games are featured on theQBSN.com.

Commercials

QBSN offers options for advertisers to create pre-produced commercials, or have QBSN on-air talent read the commercial live during a break in the game action.

Prior to and following each game, QBSN hosts shows featuring commentary, updates, news and interviews. By sponsoring a show, your business will be mentioned at the beginning, before and after breaks and at the closing of the show.

Policies and BillingQuinnipiac Student Media (QSM) reserves the right to refuse any advertisements or cancel any contracts for any reason. QSM also reserves the right to alter any advertisement for any reason. No advertising copy will be accepted by telephone.

In addition, QSM may choose to refuse advertising that, in the judgment of student leaders and QSM business representatives, falls into any of the following categories:

• Advertisements considered to be libelous, obscene, in poor taste or defamatory toward a group or individual.

• Advertisements asserting claims that are clearly and demonstrably false, the publishing of which might be damaging to the community.

The Quinnipiac Student Handbook states:

“University-funded student media outlets may choose to refuse advertising that can be considered libelous, defamatory, obscene, in poor taste, is demonstrably false, or otherwise conflicts with the values of the Quinnipiac University community. Advertising that promotes the use of alcoholic beverages, off-campus housing, non-Quinnipiac degree programs, violations of any local, state or federal laws, or university policies is prohibited. The Office of the Dean of Students reserves the right to prohibit any individual or category of advertising in University-funded student media at its discretion.”

QSM assumes no financial responsibility for typographical or printing errors, or for the omission of any copy on advertisements. QSM reserves the right to identify copy with the word “Advertisement.”

Only the publication of an advertisement constitutes acceptance of the advertisement.

If payment is not received by the due date, QSM reserves the right to cancel all future advertising agreements and charge interest.

For every 30 days past due, an additional 10 percent will be added to the bill.

If QSM retains a collection agency and/or attorney to collect overdue amounts, all collection costs, including attorney fees, shall be paid by the advertiser.
