INTRODUCTIONAs a team of 4, we are given a task to design 4 pieces of t-shir ts and create a set of geomet-ric designed t-shir t to reflect Flamboyant and Extravagant. We are required to create our own brand and choose up to 3 materials given in the brief to design the t-shir t. To make the geomet-ric embellishment on to the t-shir ts, we are NOT ALLOWED to use any form of glue or tape. This scrapbook is to show our design progress of our t-shir t.

4 ASPIRING FASHION EMPLOYINGJohnson is also known for employing bright, neon dyes, puffed sleeves, deep necklines, and low waists.Taking her cues from the more avant-garde London fashion scene

5 HER DESIGN PRINCIPLESusually use Main features that stand out, Punk rock style inspired her to createfasion for the new generation. she used neon and rainbow colors to express her design. There’s a pattern mixture of several colors space: the design has positive space within a defined area.

1 HIS FASHIONSIGNATUREhis collections combine an in-depth working knowledge of bespoke British tailoring, he also mastered 6 methods of pattern cutting from the melodra-matic 16th Century to the razor sharptailoring. the fine workmanship of his products which has become a McQueen signature.

2 HISINSPIRATIONMcQueen’sDeliverance is mostly composed of a complex network of inter-textualities that comprise literature, theatre, cinema, painting, music, dance and fashion.

3 THE THEMES AND CONCEPTSAlexander McQueen never wavered about wanting to “shove fashion in your face,” so the outrageous, sur-real and stagger-ing were as much a component of each season’s collection as new fabrications and innovative sil-houettes.

4 THE THEMES AND CONCEPTSAlexander McQueen sought to imbue garments with a visceral, emotional intensity through merging the per-sonal with the po-litical, the organic with the modern, and the rigours of traditional tai-loring techniques with the lightness of haute couture.

1 HIS FASHION DESIGN LABELChristian Lacroix designs clothes that are glam-orous, expen-sive-looking, and unapologeticaly dramatic. thedesigner’s use of sumptuous fabrics (velvet, satin, taffe-ta) and overlapping patterns (patch-work, stripes), all of which left buy-ers clamoring for more.

2 HISWELL-KNOWN DESIGN LOOKLacroix is well known for defining the look of the 1980s, combining bright colours and ex-travagant embel-lishment, has also designed costumes for numerous stage productions, in-cluding a corset for Madonna’s 2004 ‘Re-Invention World Tour’.

3 HIS COLOUR SCHEMEhe likes to use very bright colour combinations. His palette includes such colours as Magenta, Bright Pinks, Orange, Yel-low, Reds, Blues and Greens, all sometimes in one outfit. His designs are easily recog-nizable because of their colourful nature. .

4 HIS DESIGNINSPIRATIONthe same dynamic and colourful fea-tures characterise both his fashion and costumeillustrations, which depict bodies that seem to want to jump off the paper and become animate. Lacroix’s inspira-tion comes as much from past couturi-ers like Cristóbal Balenciaga, as from historic costumes of the eighteenth century,

5 HIS HAUTE COUTUREcombining colors are the key words that best describe his collections. The inspiration for his clothing is drawn from numerous provencial, ethnic and baroque styles, portraying new-ly found femininity and intimate luxury. He loves to mix and match all different styles and fabrics. His ready to wear lines are vivacious, created in emblem-atic colors.
