Phlebotomy and Medical Laboratory Assistant WNCC’s Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) and Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) Certificate of Completion programs are Limited-Entry programs with a Selective Admission Process. The programs consist of a pre-clinical component and a clinical component. The pre-clinical component or qualifying courses are taught through didactic (online) and student laboratory. The clinical component of the program is taught through didactic (online), student laboratory and clinical practicum and experiences. Pre-clinical courses are taught in fall semester and clinical courses are taught in the spring semester. Successful completion of both pre-clinical and clinical component will result in the awarding of a Certificate of Completion and eligibility to take industry based certifications. This course will cover code updates at the national and state level for Nebraska and Wyoming Electricians. Nebraska electricians must attend 12 hours and Wyoming Electricians must attend 16 hours.
