OFFSHOREAND RENEWABLESWE PROVIDE A DEDICATED AND FOCUSED SERVICE TO THEOFFSHORE MARKET FOR THE OIL, GAS AND RENEWABLEENERGY SECTORS.

Our primary function is as astockholder of hot & cold formedcircular, square and rectangularsections and seamless tubes.Stocked grades include G13+N,G15+N and API X52 in addition toS355J2H to cater for the needs ofoffshore fabricators. Grades aresupplied in the normalisedcondition which reduces HAZproblems in the post weldcondition. Other grades, suchas A333 Grade 6, are availablethrough our supply network. All

stocked material is sourced fromEuropean mills/suppliers and issupplied with 3.1 certification inaccordance with EN10204.

Through the Barrett Steel Groupwe also supply angles, beams,columns and plate in gradesincluding J2, G8 and G10.

TUBE MANIPULATIONSINCE EARLY 2003 WE HAVE BEEN OFFERING TUBES ANDBOX SECTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN LASERED AND/ORBENT/ROLLED IN BOTH MILD STEEL AND STAINLESS STEEL.

We have two mandrel tubebenders which can push bendtubes and box section up to42mm diameter. These twomachines have a wide range oftooling in stock. In addition tothese two machines we also havethree different size ring rollersthat offer variable radius bendingon sections up to 120x120 squareand the equivalent squares /rectangles and circular tubessubject to tooling.

Just recently commissioned is anAll Electric CNC Tube Bendercalled the ELECT 150 which offersboth fixed and variable radiusbends on tubes up to 150mmdiameter subject to tooling.All these lasers and tube bendingequipment offer unrivalledprocessing capability under oneroof, combining the strength of aleading tube and hollow sectionspecialist with the UK’s leadinglaser processor.

THE NEW TECHNOLOGY OF THE FIBER LASER OFFERSSIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGES IN TERMS OF A WIDER RANGEOF MATERIALS THAT CAN BE PROCESSED - AMONG THEMHIGHLY-REFLECTIVE MATERIALS SUCH AS COPPER, BRASS,STAINLESS STEEL AND ALUMINIUM.

We are the first steel stockholderto introduce a system of this kindto the UK. It is specificallydesigned and developed forcutting tubes and open profileswith the fibre laser source.

Benefits of the new system includetime saving, due to faster cuttingspeeds and a smoother cut surfaceon the finished products. Comparedto traditional methods, laserprocessing offers cost savings dueto the reduction in the number ofprocesses needed.
