The development on a prime corner site, 8 minutes from Chancery Lane Tube, is made up of a three storey structure in six split level individually designed units including a 3rd floor 3 bedroom penthouse apartment with roof terraces. PROJECT CHALLENGES Spanwright UK with Capitol London Ltd had to work within Code 3 Sustainable Homes & London Borough of Camden Conservation Policies in the planning, design and construction of this development. In addition, Kings Mews being a busy thoroughfare, deliveries & fitting had to be scheduled within allotted road closure slots. Fitting of Precast Flooring and Stairs allows for Rapid Construction, once installed precast stairs provide the safest way to access other floors during construction. The sound insulation and thermal efficiency properties inherent in the High Density Prestressed Flooring and Precast Stairs contributes to this Capitol London Apartment Development’s safety, durability and thermal performance.

Spanwright UK’s In House Design Team tailored flooring unit design to include service points and cutting of flooring slabs to suit the angular, open plan split level design of the apartment block. Solid End finishes to slabs guarded against shear and crushing, strengthening overall structure. Spanwright supplied and fitted stairs and slabs working with Capitol London to plan, including accommodating a change to the fitting and delivery schedule at final floor level. Flooring and stairs once installed provided a safe working platform for following on trades.
