Common Roof Long Term Sustainability for Partner Organizations
1. In Barrie we were at capacity when we moved in.
2. We had some under utilized admin space on the first floor.
3. We had a meeting space on the second floor that was under utilized and many recommending that it needed to be on the first floor.
So we revamped the Admin space into meeting space on the first
floor and constructed three offices out of the meeting space on
the second floor which ultimately reduced our shared space
costs.
What are some of the issues
1. In Barrie we had no shared area that met some of the needs of our diverse community.
2. We looked at adopting one of our meeting rooms so that it could be used as a private area or a smudge room.
We met with members of the community and
equipped a meeting space to address the issue.
Getting Started: Community Leadership
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful
committed citizens can change the world:indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.
