Začetki podjetja segajo v oktober leta 1967, ko je Alojz Škrlj odprl popoldansko obrt, leta 1971 pa ustanovil zasebno delavnico. Njena dejavnost je bila proizvodnja strojev in drugih izdelkov iz pločevine, znana pa je bila predvsem kot proizvajalec puhalnikov za spravilo sena in mlinov za mletje živilske krme. Čeprav razmere niso bile naklonjene zaseb- nemu podjetništvu, je obratovalnica v sedemdesetih letih zaposlovala od 3 do 5 delavcev. V teh letih je bilo nekaj sto puhalnikov izvoženih tudi na italijansko tržišče. Potreba, posodobiti vinsko posodo v lastni kleti, je leta 1985 ponudila nov izziv. Izdelali smo prve posode iz nerjavne pločevine. V nekaj letih je proizvodnja izdelkov iz nerjavne pločevine povsem izpodrinila ostale proizvode. Istočasno z uvajanjem novega proizvodnega programa, se je večalo tudi število zaposlenih. Leta 1988 se je začelo obdobje intenzivnejšega razvoja, ko je bil izdelan in preizkušen prototip pnevmatske stiskalnice za grozdje. Dve leti kasneje je bilo izdelanih že 10 stiskalnic. Prvi izvozni posli so bili sklenjeni v letu 1991 s prodajo posod za vino v Avstrijo in Francijo. Zaradi večanja obsega poslovanja je bilo leta 1992 ustanovljeno podjetje Škrlj d.o.o., katerega osnovna dejavnost je razvoj, proizvodnja in prodaja opreme za vinarstvo ter drugo živilsko in kemijsko industrijo. Leta 1995 se je pokazala potreba po razširitvi proizvodnih prostorov, zato je bil večji del proizvodnje iz delavnice v Vrhpolju preseljen na novo lokacijo v Batujah. Podjetje danes zaposluje 80 delavcev. Največji delež proizvodnje podjetja je namenjen opremi za male in srednje vinarje. To so raznovrstne posode za vino in vinifikatorji ter pnevmatske stiskalnice za grozdje. V zadnjih letih je precej porasel delež proizvodnje različnih proces- nih posod za farmacevtsko in pivovarsko industrijo. Nekoliko manjši, a kljub temu nezanemarljiv delež pa predstavlja različna oprema za mlekarsko ter ostalo živilsko industrijo. 90% svojih proizvodov izvozimo, od tega največ v Avstrijo, Nemčijo, Španijo, Francijo, ZDA, Grčijo ter na Češko, Hrvaško in Portugalsko. Povpraševanje na trgu narekuje nenehno rast in posodabljanje proizvodnje in temu skušamo tudi nenehno slediti. Sistem obvladovanja, načrtovanja in proizvodnje je urejen po standardih ISO9001, EN 729-2 in PED, kar potrjuje našo odločenost, utrjevati svoj položaj ter prodirati na nova svetovna tržišča tako s kakovostnimi proizvodi, kakor tudi s kakovostjo naših storitev. In 1985 we needed to modernise the wine containers in our own cellar and this posed some kind of challenge to us. We manufactured our first stainless steel storage tanks. In just a few years the production of such tanks almost completely replaced other products. With the introduction of a new programme the number of employees grew. The prototype of a pneumatic wine press was made and tested in 1988 and, along with this, a period of more intense progress started. After two years 10 presses had already been made. The first export deals were made in 1991, involving the sale of wine tanks to Austria and France. Due to the expansion of business the firm Škrlj d.o.o. was founded in 1992, whose main activity has been the develop- ment, manufacturing and selling of equipment for the wine trade and other food and chemical industries. Due to a lack of space for manufacturing the biggest part of manufacturing was moved in 1995 from Vrhpolje to Batuje. Today the firm has 80 employees. Most production is designed to supply equipment to small wine producers. There are various sorts of wine storage tanks, fermenters and pneumatic wine presses. In the last few years the production of different process tanks for the pharmaceutical and brewing industries has increased in relative terms. A smaller, but no less important, part of produc- tion involves equipment for the dairy and other food and chemical industries. 90 percent of our products are exported mainly to Austria, Germany, Spain, France, the United States of America, Greece, but also the Czech Republic, Croatia and Portugal. Market interest dictates constant growth and the modernisation of production and we seek to follow these demands. Our management, design and production system is in accordance with the ISO9001, EN 729-2 and PED standards. This confirms our decision to consolidate our market position and to conquer new world markets with both quality products and quality service. Our very many satisfied customers are the most valuable confirmation of our success.

Vino lahko hranimo, negujemo in zorimo v različnih posodah, odvisno od našega namena in željene lastnosti vina. V splošnem lahko rečemo, da vino zori v okolju s kisikom (mikro ali makro oksidacija) ali v okolju brez kisika (redukcija, hiper redukcija). Glede na različne namene se uporablja posode iz različnih materialov: steklo, beton, les, glina, kamen ali nerjavno jeklo.

Wine may be stored, nursed and matured in different containers, depending on the purpose and desired wine characteristics. Generally speak-ing, wine either matures in the presence of oxygen (micro- or macro-oxidation), or in an oxygen-free environment (reduction, hyper-reduction). Depending on the purpose, containers made of different materials are applied: glass, concrete, wood, clay, stone or stainless steel.

Stainless steel containers allow, in all processing stages (mercering, decanting, fermenting, blending, maturing, clearing), easy management of the contained wine:• they guarantee extremely high hygienic standards• they keep the freshness of the stored wine for long periods (free of undesired flavours)• they provide conditions for the maturing of wine without access of oxygen (hyper-reduction)• they provide conditions for the maturing of wine under controlled access of oxygen (micro-oxidation)• lifting and mixing of lees (i.e. »bâtonnage«)

Odprte posode s plavajočim pokrovom in dodatno ojačanim zgornjim robom. Plavajoči pokrov se sproti prilagaja nivoju vina v posodi. Dolivanje vina v posodo zato ni potreb-no. Zatesnitev pokrova s tesnilno zračnico prepreči vdor zraka v posodo in onemogoči nekontrolirano oksidacijo.

Posode z večjimi premeri (D≥1580 mm) so opremljene z vitlom za lažje dviganje in spuščanje plavajočega pokrova.

Open tank with floating lid and extra reinforced top brim. The floating lid continuously follows the level of wine in the tank. The sealing of the lid by means of a sealing tube prevents ingress of air into the tank and any uncontrolled oxidation. Tank topping with wine is therefore not required.

Larger diameter tanks (D≥1580 mm) are fitted with lid lifting and lowering winches.

Posode dodatno opremimo s sistemom za hlajenje/gretje, elementi za kontrolo in regu-lacijo temperature ter ostalo tehnično opremo po želji naročnika (mešala,…).

In addition to standard design tanks, tanks with dimensions, appearance and fittings made to customers specifications are also available.

We manufacture small and medium dimension tanks (from approx. 400 l capacity) as well as large capacity tanks (40000 l and above).

Also on the customer’s request, the tanks may be fitted with a heating/cooling system, temperature monitoring and control equipment and other technical equipment (agita-tors, ...).

Posode so lahko dvo- ali večprostorske. Priporočamo jih vinarjem, ki želijo čimbolje izko-ristiti prostor v kleti in potrebujejo za skladiščenje vina tudi manjše prostorninske enote.

Pri dvoprostorskih posodah je vmesno dno običajno na sredini. Pri drugačni razdelitvi moramo upoštevati omejitev, da mora biti višina posamezne enote najmanj 750 mm.

These tanks may be of a two- or multi-compartment designs. They are recommended for wine-makers wishing to optimise their wine cellar space and requiring smaller capacity units for their wine storage.

With the two-compartment tanks, the intermediate bottom is normally located at the middle height. If a different arrangement is required, the minimum unit height of 750 mm shall be observed.

Posode z izolacijo lahko uporabljamo za hrambo, fermentacijo, razsluzevanje, stabi-lizacijo vina ter vse ostale postopke v enologiji, kjer se zahteva posoda z izolativnimi lastnostmi.

Standardna debelina izolacije znaša 50 mm. Kot izolacijski material je uporabljena poliuretanska pena. Zunanji plašč je varjene izvedbe (vodotesno).

Transport tanks type H are horizontal cylindrical containers.

Reinforced legs laid along the entire jacket length are fitted with side supports to allow for the tank to be handled with a forklift. Only empty tanks should be lifted.

Due to their unique design, the tanks are suitable for slow speed transportation (up to 25 km/h).

They may also be used for wine storage.

Glavna prednost pravokotnih posod je, da omogočajo dobro izrabo prostora v kleti. Zelo primerne so za opremljanje manjših in ožjih kleti. Za obokane kleti izdelamo tudi pravokotne posode z nagnjenim zadkom (poševni zarez hrbtne strani posode) in jih tako še bolj prilagodimo obliki prostora.

Vsi notranji robovi pravokotnih posod so zaobljeni in brez kotnih zvarov. V notranjosti ni ojačitvenih elementov, zato je površina gladka in omogoča enostavno čiščenje.

Dno posode ima nagib, kar omogoča dobro iztekanje tekočine in izhajanje zraka iz posode.

Pravokotne posode so lahko klasične ali v nadstropni izvedbi.

The main advantage of a rectangular tank is in its utilization of available cellar space. They are highly suitable for smaller area or narrow cellars. For vaulted cellars, rectangular tanks with slanted back section are available (slanted back wall of the tank) to adapt the tank to the space in cellar.

All the inner edges of the tank are rounded off and free of angle welds. The interior is free of any reinforced elements; accordingly, the interior surface is smooth and easy to clean.

The tank bottom is inclined to allow smooth liquid discharge and air evacuation.

Type P tanks are available in classic or stackable design.

Male pravokotne posode tip M so idealne za hrambo manjših količin vina. Zasnovane so modularno, zato jih lahko sestavljamo v sklade. Ker imajo na pokrovu že vgrajene nas-tavke za skladanje, lahko posode z dimenzijsko enakim tlorisom enostavno postavimo eno na drugo.

Z uporabo posebnega vmesnika (na voljo po naročilu) je možno tudi skladanje posod z različnimi globinami ter prenašanje posod z viličarjem.

Applying special stacking fittings (available on request) allows for the stacking of tanks with different depths and for their handling by a forklift.

Ovalne posode so primerne predvsem za nizke kleti. Poleg standardnih izvedb izdelu-jemo tudi ovalne posode po naročilu. Dimenzije, izgled in opremo prilagodimo željam uporabnika in zagotovimo dober izkoristek prostora v kleti.

Vsi notranji robovi posod so zaobljeni in brez kotnih zvarov. V notranjosti ni ojačitvenih elementov, zato je površina gladka in jo enostavno čistimo.

2R za izdelavo izdelka je bila uporabljena hladno valjana pločevina s površino 2R (IIId) po EN10088-2. Na površini so dopustne nepravilnosti, ki nastanejo pri različnih postopkih izdelave. Hrapavost uporabljene pločevine (pred pričetkom izdelave) 0,03µm<Ra<0,1µm.

1D za izdelavo je bila uporabljena toplo valjana pločevina s površino 1D (IIa) po EN10088-2. Na površini so dopustne nepravilnosti, ki nastanejo pri različnih postopkih izdelave. Hrapavost uporabljene pločevine (pred pričetkom izdelave) 2µm<Ra<6µm.

B BRUŠENA: za izdelavo izdelka je bila uporabljena pločevina s površino brušeno z zrnom 120 - 220 (odvisno od debeline pločevine, področja uporabe,...). Na površini so dopustne nepravilnosti, ki nastanejo pri različnih postopkih izdelave. Hrapavost uporabljene pločevine (pred pričetkom izdelave) 0,3µm<Ra<1,0µm.
