of the Mission

The purpose of the mission is to strengthen the links between both

countries, promote economic relations between Portugal and the

Republic of South Africa, on the basis of mutual interest, and also

promote network between business persons.

The delegation incorporates companies from different areas.

Artur Pereira is Economist by choice, techy by nature. A 16+ years career has led him through different responsibilities: Macro-economic Research to Fixed Income and Derivatives trading, to designing and implementing a Bloomberg based trading system, to leading a consulting team towards reorganizing, restructuring and simplifying the biggest Portuguese private financial group, to rethinking international operations. Was until recently an Advisor of the Board for Portugal’s Trade and Investment Agency (AICEP). Was responsible for the Internationalization of Portuguese companies, helping many SME’s and startups make the right connections with potential foreign clients/partners. He played a relevant role in bringing Web Summit to Lisbon which will for sure accelerate the startup eco-system in Portugal. • 40% of the program is pre-organised and another 60% will be constituted by customised

agendas for each of the participants (1:1 meetings).

• Reimbursement of 50% (45%) of participation costs (travel, accommodation, other) for
