In 2016, Polyfabrics expanded globally, changing
its name to Polyfabrics Australasia. With over 25
years of experience, we pride ourselves on the
service and reliability we offer our customers.
Company History
Polyfabrics recently joined the Tapex Group, developing new
concepts and working with their partners to enhance, modify or
adapt to the aggressive climatic conditions of Australia.
Tapex excavation and site safety products were incorporated into
the Polyfabrics range.
As a result, Polyfabrics has become one of the leading suppliers
of geosynthetic and safety materials across a range of product
categories.
Capability Overview
Polyfabrics Australasia Pty Ltd was incorporated in 1991 to
supply high-quality Geosynthetic products for Australasian
civil engineering and landscaping applications across multiple
sectors.
The success of Polyfabrics is attributed to its level of service
and partnerships with recognised international brands and
world-class EOM manufacturers.

Drainage solutions aim to prevent the leaking of liquids and gases, allowing them to safely pass from one location to
another. Critical factors in choosing a suitable product include ensuring the polymer does not contaminate the liquid in
the process of transportation and is able to withstand compressive loadings.
Lining systems will contain any liquid, and hold it in place until it is either removed or evaporates. Professional installation and
welding is critical for lining to work. It is important to add a protection geotextile to ensure the safety and sustainability of lining
systems and prevent damage.
Geogrids have many uses including enhancing the CBR of soils and enabling reinforcement within the structure. They
help interlock soils or stone in place, while providing load distribution, to form a strong foundation for applications.

Landscaping covers a wide range of functions, from re-vegetating land to
reshaping existing landscapes. Landscaping materials can also be used for
erosion control, stopping land movement and enabling stabilisation within
an environment.
Geotextiles are manufactured using polymers, by either needling or heat-bonding them together. The range includes
nonwovens through to high-strength wovens, each providing the same basic functions of filtration and separation, but with
different features. It is important to consider the polymer the geotextile is made from -- a stronger material or one that has a
greater resistance to high temperatures.
Railway Trackbed products assist in separating layers used in the trackbed, as well as addressing
different soil types from fines to clay. The range includes products that extend the life of the trackbed.
Products within the sediment control range prevent the slipping or movement of sediment waste in a construction site.
Solutions will prevent sediment from escaping the site or contaminating ground water.
Gabions are coated wire products often used for retaining walls. Gabions traditionally provide erosion control
within a river or canal bed and are now also used in landscaping and street furniture applications.
