Palmdale Learning Plaza An International Baccalaureate Candidate School The Learning Plaza is a “school of choice” for the Palmdale School District. All students in the Palmdale School District may choose to attend PLP as an option beyond their neighborhood school. PLAZA PROGRAM OFFERINGS • International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program---offered as a candidate school • Inquiry-based instruction and constructivist teaching methods • Conceptual teaching and learning • Character Development • Multicultural emphasis • Performing Arts emphasis • Full day Kindergarten • Student Government (ASB) • Kiwanis Builder’s Club • Intersession classes • Elective/Remediation classes • English as a second language classes • Spanish as a foreign language classes • PTA • Highly Qualified Teachers
