Since a couple of years ago the global Pharma-Bio market has been facing a strong growth as blockbuster drugs have been gradually expiring in developed markets including the US and Europe. Consequently, colossal opportunities are opening up for biotech and pharmaceutical companies who own technology excellence and competitive drug patents. With recent remarkable feat of South Korean pharmaceutical companies in 2015, domestic pharmaceutical companies are investing more in R&D, developing innovative drugs and enhancing their marketing capabilities. Additionally the government in South Korea has announced capital and institutional support to boost pharmaceutical manufacturing, with the aim of becoming one of the world’s Top seven global pharmaceutical producing countries by 2020. Now it is expected to see more technology transfer (technology licensing) and M&A between Korean companies and MNCs. In the meantime increasing cases of patent disputes, both in biotech and pharm sector becomes a challenging factor for sustainable business development both locally and globally. Following the success of the Global Pharma IP Innovation Forum in 2013, this conference is designed in order to maximize the opportunities of the market and look at on key trends and issues related to the R&D and BD for pharmaceutical industry. Also it will focus on ways to effectively cope with emerging issues in the licensing disputes. The conference will concentrate on R&D, BD and patent, licensing and legal side of the emerging issues. Don’t miss the opportunity of informative sessions, high-level networking and interactive all through the conference and networking dinner.
