OVERVIEW
The Massey Ferguson GC series tractor that has proven itself over the years has undergone a complete styling overhaul. Not only has the GC been a given more distinctive and tougher look, but we also added 2 new models with increased horse power. Massey Ferguson is proud to introduce the new GC2400 and GC2600 series tractors. The new line up consists of the GC2400 and GC2410 TLB which features a 22.5 horsepower engine, as well as the new GC2600 and GC2610 TLB featuring 25 engine horsepower. The new GC series is also equipped with a number of different features which were not seen on the GC2300’s. A few of those features include a new loader, new backhoe, wider platform and new hydrostatic pedals, just to name a few. These new features add to the great deal of satisfaction that comes with owning a Massey Ferguson GC series tractor. Ease of operation and unparalleled performance makes the GC series great for small acre-ages or even large operations where lawn and property maintenance are important. Con-sumers continue to find more uses for compact tractors including lawn care, specialty crop farming and construction use. With attachments such as mid mount mowers, loaders, back-hoes, snow blowers, front blades, front brooms as well as a number of category 1 three point implements, the Massey Ferguson GC series is ready and able to take on any job.

ENGINES
The Massey Ferguson GC2400 and GC2600 series tractors use an Iseki 3 cylinder, liquid cooled, indirect injected, naturally aspirated diesel engine. These engines are designed to provide optimum performance while maintaining high levels of efficiency and meeting all Tier II emission standards. Now with added features to reduce noise levels and improve starting, these engines will provide years of dependable service. A cast iron parent bore block with overhead valve cast iron heads also contributes to the life of the GC series tractor engine. A glow plug starting aid is used to improve starting in cold weather conditions. The air intake system consists of a single pleated paper type filter located under the hood above the engine on the left side to provide clean and adequate air flow to the engine. There is a removable screen in front of the radiator that filters out debris before it goes through the radiator fins to keep the cooling system operating at peak performance. The cooling system is equipped with a radiator overflow tank making it easy to check the fluid level and add fluid as required. Unique to the GC series is the reverse mounted engine. Hot air flow escapes from the front of the tractor and does not blow on the operator.
Reverse mounted engine helps the hot air es-cape from the front of the tractor. The opera-tor can work comfortably without having hot air blown in their direction.
Easy access to the removable radiator screen. This screen prevents debris from en-tering the radiator fins which keeps the cool-ing system operating properly.

TRANSMISSION
A hydrostatic transmission is utilized in both the GC2400 and the GC2600 series tractors. The combination of 2 non synchronized ranges with the infinitely variable foot pedal controlled hydrostat provides an unlimited speed range with excellent control and maneuverability. Range changes can be made by bringing the tractor to a complete stop and using the inline shift lever, located on the right console, to choose the appropriate range. The newly de-signed hydrostat pedals feature a side by side, forward and reverse, set up. This new con-figuration allows for easier, more comfortable operation. Pushing down on the forward or re-verse pedal will initiate travel in that direction. The further the pedal is depressed, the faster the tractor goes. Letting off the pedal will cause the tractor to slow down and eventually come to a stop. Cruise control is now standard on all GC models, including the TLB tractors (which was not offered in the GC2300 series). Cruise control allows you to maintain a consistent ground speed for transport, or any job where you need to maintain a constant ground speed for an extended period of time. Hydrostatic transmissions are an excellent choice for applica-tions that require constant directional changes and variable speeds. Ease of operation and durability makes the hydrostatic transmission great for almost any job and operator.
The redesigned side by side hydrostat pedals allow for easy operation.
The right hand console features the range lever and cruise control engagement. Cruise control is now standard on all GC models, which enables the operator to maintain con-stant speeds.

DIFFERENTIAL, FINAL DRIVE, AXLES & BRAKES
Each GC series tractor has a transaxle type final drive with flanged axles. A fixed 4WD front axle with power steering is standard on the GC2400 and GC2600 models. Wet disc brakes, controlled by a single brake pedal, provide superior stopping capabilities as well as long life and low maintenance. The brake pedal has been relocated to the left side of the floor board. The rear differential lock is located on the left hand side of the floor board as well. The me-chanically engaged differential lock is engaged by an aptly placed foot pedal. With the differ-ential lock engaged, both rear tires/wheels will turn as one. This features increases tractor performance in rough, slippery conditions.
The single brake pedal has been moved to the left side of the platform. This pedal en-gages the wet disc brakes for superior stop-ping power.
The rear differential lock is located just below the brake pedal. Engagement of the rear dif-ferential will provide extra traction in rough conditions.

WHEELS AND TIRES
The GC2400 and GC2600 series tractors are available with 2 tire options. For those applica-tions requiring a more aggressive tread pattern, there are R1 Ag tires. If the application calls for little ground disturbance, there are R3 turf tires available.
R1 Ag tires are available on all GC models. These tires are best suited for applications where good tractions is a main concern.
R3 turf tires are available on all GC models. R3’s are the least aggressive tread pattern and cause minimal ground disturbance. Great choice for lawn or grounds care work.

PTO
An independent PTO system is used on the GC2400 and GC2600 series, which provides user friendly operation for a variety of applications. A separate hydraulic wet clutch is used to control the engagement of the PTO. This makes it possible to turn the PTO on and off inde-pendently of the transmission operation. A mechanical lever located on the left side console is used to engage and disengage the mid and rear PTO. To turn the PTO on, the operator will push the PTO lever forward. To turn off the PTO, the lever should be moved in the back position. There is a selector lever for the mid PTO (left console) and rear PTO (left console) that determines whether they are engaged when the main control lever is moved to the on position. This type of PTO system is great for mowing and a number of other operations.

HYDRAULICS
The GC series sub-compact tractors use an open center hydraulic system powered by a sin-gle gear driven pump. This type of system provides the performance required in the industry today while maintaining the compact design, reliability and economical price. New for the GC2400 and GC2600 is the factory installed joystick. The factory installed joy-stick is optional on the GC2400’s and is standard equipment on all the GC2600 models. The factory joystick creates extra space within the operator platform as well as giving the tractor/loader a cleaner look. A field installed joystick valve is also available for the GC2400’s. This valve will mount to the tractor and it stays with the tractor when the loader is removed. This set up will allow the joystick to be used for other front mounted implements requiring hydrau-lics.
FACTORY INSTALLED JOYSTICK
New for the GC series is the factory installed joystick. The factory installed joystick is op-tional for the GC2400’s and is standard equip-ment for the GC2600’s.
FIELD INSTALLED JOYSTICK A field installed joystick is available for the GC2400 series tractors. The joystick valve mounts to the tractor and stays with the trac-tor if the loader is removed.

THREE POINT HITCH
The GC2400 and the GC2600 series tractors have an ASAE Category 1 three point hitch which permits the use of a wide variety of three point hitch implements. Three point hitch po-sition is controlled by the auto return control lever located on the right console. When the control lever is moved to the forward position, the three point hitch will lower. When the lever is moved to the rear position, the hitch will raise. When the lever is released, it will return to the neutral position and stop moving. The GC series features a rate of drop control which makes it possible to adjust the speed at which the three point hitch lowers. The rate of drop is adjusted with the knob located below the seat.
POSITION CONTROL The three point hitch position control is con-veniently located on the right hand console.
RATE OF DROP CONTROL
Control how fast your three point hitch lowers with the rate of drop control. The knob is aptly placed below the seat.

3 POINT HITCH Fixed draft link ends are used on all GC mod-els. Each model uses a turnbuckle stabilizer to allow for adjustments in the side to side sway of the 3 point arms and make it easier to hook up implements. Leveling the hitch is ac-complished through the use of a turnbuckle style adjustment.

OPERATOR ENVIRONMENT
When designing the new operator station for the GC2400 series and the GC2600 series, we kept comfort and convenience in mind. The new platform has been redesigned to add more space between the operator and control levers. More room has been added on the floor-board and as well more room in the seat to enhance comfort. Additional space has been cre-ated between each individual control lever for easier use and less interference. A spring cushioned seat mounted on sliding rails is used on all models. The GC2400 and the GC2600 have fixed ROPS while the GC2410 and GC2610 have folding ROPS.

SERVICEABILITY
All of the routine maintenance service points are easy to access so that maintenance time is reduced to a minimum.
ENGINE
Engine checks are made easy with the flip up hood design used on the GC series. To check the engine oil, one will raise the hood and pull the oil dipstick. Adding engine oil is done through the fill port located on top of the valve cover. The engine oil filter is a spin on type filter located on the left side of the en-gine. The drain plug is located on the bottom of the oil pan. The air cleaner is located un-der the hood above the engine which is easy to access and replace.
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
The hydraulic oil can be checked by looking at the sight glass located on the rear transaxle housing to the left of the PTO shaft. The hy-draulic oil fill port is located on the rockshaft housing. A spin on type hydraulic filter is lo-cated on the front side of the rear transaxle. The drain plug and suction screen are located in the rear transaxle housing.

RADIATOR
The radiator can be accessed by raising the hood which also provides access to the over-flow where fluid can be checked and added easily. The removable screen in front of the radiator keeps the larger debris particles from getting into the radiator fins to keep the en-gine operating at optimum performance.
FUEL SYSTEM
The fuel filter is located on the left side of the frame. It has a glass bowl with a paper ele-ment filter inside. A shutoff valve on the filter housing allows the fuel to be shut off so that the bowl and the filter can be removed without draining the fuel. The fill cap is located on the right fender.

LOADER
When it comes to increasing the versatility of your GC series tractor, nothing gets the job done like a loader. The GC2400 series and the GC2600 series will utilize a new loader, the DL100. The DL100 offers the same great lift capacities and solid construction but now fea-tures a curved book design that compliments the new hood design of the GC series. The DL100 uses a pedestal mount design making the installation and removal process very quick and easy. This type of mount design provides easy access to the engine compartment, mak-ing daily maintenance checks easy to perform.

The new DL100 series loader will feature a curved boom design that compliments the new hood design.
PEDESTAL MOUNT DESIGN
The pedestal mount design with a quick pin disconnect permits easy installation and re-moval of the loader.

BACKHOE
Following the same curve boom design, the new CB05 backhoe will top off your TLB pack-age. Not only has the CB05 been given a new look, but the platform space has been in-creased for added foot room. The operators box has been rounded off and an extra footstep has been added for easier access. The CB05 still uses a quick attach style mount that makes it quick and easy to remove and install. The mount design allows for the use of a mid-mount mower without removing the backhoe sub-frame. When the backhoe is removed, the three point hitch can be used while the sub-frame is still on the tractor. This design makes it easy to change implements so that the same tractor can be used for many jobs.
CURVE BOOM DESIGN
The CB05 features a curve boom design to compliment to new hood design and the curved book of the DL100 loader.
ADDITIONAL PLATFORM SPACE
The CB05 backhoe will feature an extended platform that will allow for more foot room. This provides for a more comfortable operat-ing area.
