For the award of Terminal I – one of the largest orders of the airport division – Lindner supplied and installed over 50,000 m² of custom made metal ceilings with special crossing boxes. Lindner supplied and installed interior fit-out products with a value of more than 40 million EUR. The scope of works for this prestigious Green Airport includes high quality furniture, ceilings and partition systems as well as doors made of wood. Once the airport hub is operating it will accommodate around 27 million passengers.

Sibiu International Airport,Romania

As a general contractor, together with two partners, the Lindner Group performed the technical part at this terminal. The project was completed within the tight duration of only one year. All products were applied according to the design concept of the architectural office Obermeyer Planen + Beraten based in Munich.

Moscow Vnukovo Airport, Russia

Lindner is the expert in developing customised solutions. The two triangular panels form a parallelogram and to highlight the visual appearance, the architect influenced the design with bespoke integrated lighting systems. Even with 80 different panel shapes the access is guaranteed by opening each panel individually.

The building’s design has a sophisticated multicultural character with Mediterranean architecture. Lindner provided more than 230,000 m² to the major hub of the Catalonia region. The main component of the ceilings’ appearance consists of custom made Hook-On panels with extremely high insulation sound values. The special configuration and substructure supports the curved 3D shape even with a rectangular ceiling system.

An airport spreading 333,500 m², 96 check-in desks, and 40 gates was constructed very lately to serve domestic and international passenger traffic. Lindner supplied 40,000 m² LMD-B ceilings in sandwich construction. Each panel measures 2,144 x 1,125 mm.

The fourth busiest airport, the important hub for Spanish tourism and the main international airport serving the Costa del Sol is among Lindner’s references and was applied with 70,000 m² of mainly Post Cap and cassette ceilings.

London Heathrow International Airport Terminal 2B, UK

One of the special features with the satellite building, named Terminal 2B, were the facade works during flight operations. The facade solution planned by the architectural office Grimshaw Architects consists of elements weighing 2,100 kg. Lindner met the high demands in quality and short execution time with a minimum of workforce and machinery and installed elements with a pre-fabrication of 100 % and without any additional assembling works on site.

London Heathrow International Airport Terminal 5, UK

A contract value of 130 million EUR – one of the largest projects in airport construction was awarded to the Lindner Group. With Terminal 5A and 5B Lindner highlighted its capability of being the perfect partner to execute such a large construction project. Our core competence is to provide bespoke solutions such as the 130,000 m² of metal ceilings which we supplied and installed in this airport and which perfectly exemplify our company’s business expertise.

Singapore Changi International Airport – the major hub in the Asia-Pacific region – was accomplished with 80,000 m² of different kinds of ceiling systems. The Hook-On system guarantees maximum design flexibility and its perforated panels provide high sound absorption.

Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Transportation Center, China

Located about 13 km from the inner city, Shanghai Hongqiao had to expand its capacity as the demand for domestic flights is growing constantly within China. The new Terminal 2, inaugurated after a three year construction period, was fitted with 21,000 m² of metal ceilings provided by the Lindner Group.

The 110 meter high Air Traffic Control Complex at the Abu Dhabi International Airport accommodates a modern control center for monitoring of air and front end traffic as well as the headquarters for meteorological forecasts. Lindner fitted the high-quality interior construction of partitions, ceilings and floor systems.

The applied system called PUREline consists of a real wood veneer on metal panels of aluminium or galvanised steel. The highest demands such as fire and earthquake resistance or light weight together with an exceptional visual appearance can be easily provided with this product.

The architect intended to provide the terminal with a modular character for future expansion plans. The metal cassette ceilings perfectly fit into the main terminal and give it a very classy and modern look, just as intended by the architect.

Vienna International Airport, Austria

Vienna International Airport is the biggest and busiest airport in Austria. The 730 m curved terminal building has been designed with glass facades on its north and south aspects, which will give an important visual connection for passengers between the landside and airside of the airport. The main hall of the terminal extension has been designed to be airy and spacious in an open plan concept making full use of natural light and allowing “connections” to be made at all levels of the building.

The architectural bureau Gensler planned an exceptional passenger experience with the new terminal. A flexible terminal concept for additional growth in the number of passengers and an exceptional experience when travelling was the outcome of numerous studies.

A tested maximum of security, yield strength and tension load is secured with the Torsion Spring system, which was provided for this airport. The curved ceiling type is accomplished with cover panels at both sides of the ceiling channel.

ARTline SystemThe Dubai Metro – the longest fully automated railway system in the world – was fitted with 30,000 m² of ARTline ceiling system, a wooden optic décor for the interior and exterior of a building.ARTline’s wooden surface is undergoing an extensive powder coating process and fulfils the demands for cooling capacity and fire security. This special coating is UV-resistant and shows high durabilty against different chemicals and solvents. The ceiling panels are available with different patterns and acoustical backings.

The office building, with a length of 660 metres and a height of 9 floors, is connected to the Terminal 1 of Frankfurt International Airport and Frankfurt Railway Station and was fitted out with various ceiling systems by Lindner. The futuristic design is not only an eye-catcher in this region it also provides additional space for offices, hotels and shops.

Some parts of the customised metal ceilings had to achieve a pressure and suction resistant performance. The complete construction works for building services, toilets, travel centres as well as the floor screed were carried out within a period of one and a half years only.

The combination of technology and sophisticated design, Lindner created spacious waiting areas, a multifaceted retail space and comfortable surroundings for travellers.

Cologne Central Station, Germany

The service area at this train station called „Colonaden“, with more than 70 shops, cafés and restaurants, was applied with almost 4,000 m² of Post Cap ceilings.

The precise planning of the architectures ANP allowed the daily business at the station to continue.

All renovation works were concluded without interfere the daily operations. The Central Station Düsseldorf is one of the busiest in Germany and is used by 250,000 travellers each day. The refurbishment was undertaken also to meet the current fire protection requirements.

London Victoria Station, UKThe central London railway terminus and London Underground complex is named after nearby Victoria Street and belongs to the city’s main transport hubs. It is used by around 80 million people each year.

Lindner supplied and installed for this station about 16,000 m² of column claddings and metal ceilings.

Ganzenhoef Metro Station, Netherlands

The subway station in the city of Amsterdam was completely demolished and replaced by a hall and building of glass and steel. The suspended and customised metal ceilings were supplied by Lindner after the design of Zwarts & Jasma Architects.
