They were a “hit” during the wet.

Principal‘s Message:

Quote: “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is

success.” – Henry Ford, inventor and industrialist.

Last week OHPS held their first of three Kindystart days. This Wednesday afternoon provides some orientation to the youngest of our students starting school in 2018. We thank the parents of these students for staying with their children at school and participating in the information sessions being provided.

Year 2 swimming assessment day was to be held yesterday however Mother Nature had different ideas providing significant enough storms for this to be postponed until Thursday this week. When lightning has been seen in the local area there is a minimum time of 30 minutes, since the last lightning strike, before outdoor activities are able to resume.

Many classes are planning their end of the year activities. Whilst this is quite a few weeks away, teachers are reminding students that they make behaviour choices which may influence their participation in these fun events. Please discuss with your child that being included in extra-curricular activities is a privilege, not a right.

As has always been school process, we ask all parents, carers and visitors coming onto the school grounds during the day to present to the front office before they enter the school. Your cooperation would be appreciated.
