Switching to Terminal mode TPS Instrument Step Action Screen Display

Terminal Mode enables the user to enter data directly to the TST Instrument. Terminal Mode is ideal for users who like to switch easily between the instrument and the RX Controller. The Controller can be switched off and the TST used in 2-person or Reflectorless modes. N.B. The RX Controller is set as a ‘dumb terminal’ and merely mimics the display of the TST. The TST has to be switched on before the RX Controller can be used.

Place the Compact Flash card inside the TST Switch on TST and select 3 Management

3 Select 5 Configuration Sets

4 Select TCRP RCS RH1200 and press F1 CONT

6 Press 4 Interfaces

7 If there there is information displayed next to GeoCOM Mode, highlight it and and press F5 USE to switch off GeoCOM mode

8 Select RCS Mode and press F3 EDIT

9 Check the settings opposite and press F1 CONT

10 Press F4 CTRL

Check settings and then press F1 CONT until you return to the main menu screen N.B. The TST has to be set as Remote in Smartworx mode

Switch on the RX Controller Press SHIFT then F6 EXIT to leave Terminal mode and enter Windows CE screen. Double click the System 1200 Terminal icon.

The Controller should connect automatically. However, if a warning: INFORMATION 1950 Unable to detect selected sensor appears on the screen then Press F2 CONF and select 3 Radio/ Comms Settings. Press F6 PAGE to select Parameters and check that the Link Number at the top of the screen is the same as that of the TST set earlier. Also check the bottom of the screen that it is Set as: Remote Press F4 OK to the CONFIRMATION 1954 warning Press 4 Work with Sensor

You will see a flashing arrow icon above the a Terminal icon to show the TST is communicating with the RX Controller Press F12 Powersearch to find and lock to the prism
