    2014-2015

2012 Fully qualified ARB RIBA Architect with 4 years experience working on a range of projects from digitally fabricated homes to large mixed-use commercial projects. I have developed considerable experience

working internationally for a number of well renowned architectural practices. I have excellent design skills built upon strong computational, technical and communication skills. My architectural background has allowed me to develop a keen aptitude for creative problem solving, and an highly unique skill set with particular focus on the implementation on technology in design, computation and fabrication. I have a particular interest in emerging technologies in digital fabrication and computational

design, which I continue to pursue professionally as well as in my personal time. Easy going and affable by nature, and a keen team player with a proven background of working in teams throughout university and professionally, I find it easy to work with others and get on well with work colleagues in challenging environments. Enthusiastic and committed to producing high level design and comfortable working to short intensive deadlines. Ambitious, determined and hardworking, I am constantly

looking to take on new challenges in order to continue my progress and development as an architect.

The scope of the project was to design a system, BIM model and createfabrication/constructiondocumentationfortherainscreencladding.Theproject consists of 193,680 sf of extremely geometrically complexity cladding, with over 23,000 unique panels most of which are double curved surfaces. Due to the complexity of the project a highly complex BIM model, developed with extensiveuseofFrontscomputationalmodelingprocessusinggrasshopperandrhino.

Example of the shop drawings for the layout and positioning of the primarily steel brackets attached to the structural steel. The drawings were automatically generated directly from the BIM rhino model with no manual drawing or processing. The information rich model allowed us to develop scripts in grasshopper to generate drawings and export directly from rhino in either PDF or CAD format. Once the drawing script is set up this process allowed a single person to generate a entire drawing package (average submission was 200-300 drawings) within a day in both CAD and PDF format. This allowed us to more time to develop the model and constantly revise the 3D model up to the last day of the submission. These drawing examples were accompanied by detailed shop drawings, 3D models and tables. I was responsible for this process which was used to generate construction information for over 16,000 steel cleats which is now currently being installed on the building.

The drawings above were developed for the fabrication of the aluminium panels using the same building information generation process. In this case having generated the panels from the architects base surface model we developed a similar script to generate the fabrication information for the direct fabrication of the aluminium panels. In a similar fashion to the steel an entire fabrication packed could be generated within a day by a single person. The drawings were accompanied by 3D models for both panels and mold, CAD and PDF drawings. The information was sent to a factory where the panels would start to be fabricated using CNC methods.
