Proposed Loan (No. 97) of £3,500.PURSUANT to section 610 of the Local Govern-ment Act, 1960, the Gnowangerup Shire Councilhereby gives notice that it proposes to borrow, bythe sale of debentures money on the followingterms and for the following purposes: £3,500, for20 years, with interest at a rate not exceeding£5 2s. 6d. per cent. per annum, repayable at theoffice of the Shire of Gnowangerup, Gnowangerup,by 40 half-yearly instalments of principal and in-terest. Purposes:

(a) Erection of a public Hall on Reserve No.26945.

(b) Development of a sports oval, includingconstruction of a cricket pitch and provi-sion of sanitary conveniences.

Plans, specifications, estimate and a statementas required by section 609 are open for inspectionof ratepayers of the municipality at the office ofthe Council, Gnowangerup, during office hours, for35 days after publication of this notice.

The works and undertakings for which the loanis to be raised will, in the opinion of the Council,be of special benefit to a portion of the Shire,namely, that portion of the East Ward within theboundaries of an area described as follows:
