LEUCOCYTE ENTRY INTO THE CNS IS RESTRICTED, IN PART, LEUCOCYTE ENTRY INTO THE CNS IS RESTRICTED, IN PART,
BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD-BRAIN-BARRIER (BBBBECAUSE OF THE BLOOD-BRAIN-BARRIER (BBB))
ROUTES FOR LEUKOCYTES TO ENTER THE CNS
1. From blood to CSF across the choroid plexus
1. From blood to subarachnoid space
1. From blood to parenchymal perivascular space
CSF entry at site of formation
Interaction with epithelial cells of choroid plexus
Migration through the stromal core of the
villi
Extravasation across the fenestrated
endothelium of the choroid-plexus stroma

PCNSLPCNSL
• Tendono a infiltrare i tessuti sub-ependimali,
giungendo in stretto contatto col sistema ventricolare e disseminandosi attraverso il liquido cerebro-spinale

ConclusioniConclusioni
• Risultati complessivi in termini di OS ancora insufficienti
• HD MTX terapia ottimale
