From rocky outcrops to golden fields you will find the property offers many beautiful spaces providing your photographer endless opportunities to capture your special day. Exclusive Hire That’s right, our exclusive hire means just that: the only people there will be you, and whoever you invite. We guarantee that we won’t accept a second wedding or function booking throughout your ‘3-day exclusive hire’. Weekend or mid-week hire packages are available. Weekend hire includes Friday to Sunday. Midweek hire includes Tuesday to Thursday. This allows you and your guests time to arrive and commence your wedding setup, a day to indulge in your wedding arrangements and all day for your set down.

Camp under a billion starsNukara is complete with a huge tree lined camping ground area that will accommodate everything from a mobile home, caravan, tent or a simple swag. There are no powered sites,but guests are welcome to bring a generator if necessary. We have very comfortable and clean ablution facilities complete with bucket showers. As they are supplied with rain water, being water wise is a must.

Bridal chalet to sneak awayThe bride and groom can personally use or select guests to use the bridal chalet complete with champagne and chocolates for your wedding night.

Beautiful country locationLocated in the heart of Nanson, Nukara is closely situated next to a range of outdoor country activities. During set up or pack down guests can enjoy a bite to eat at the Burnt Barrell or the Lavender Farm. Taking a drive along one of the many close drive trails never disappoints. There are 2 stone churches, one Catholic and one Anglican, located within 5 minutes of Nukara giving bridal couples the option of being married in a church before returning to Nukara.

Payment OptionsWe require a deposit to secure your booking, the balance isn’t required until 30 days prior to your event. We are happy to discuss payment options to assist with your requirements.

‘ Recently we had our wedding and reception at Nukara being hosted by Donna and Phil, and what a fantastic day and weekend it turned out to be. Donna and Phil were perfect hosts and went out their way to make sure that things went as smoothly as could be expected. The actual venue is second to none, not only for Geraldton but stands alone as a unique venue in Australia.. The creative thought that has gone into the buildings and surrounds is stunning.

The fact that there are several locations to use during your stay adds to the appeal of the place, and the photographic opportunities are endless.

Additionally having most of our guests camping out for the weekend took it to another level allowing us to catch up with friends and family over a longer period rather than just sitting around a table for a few hours at a reception .

Just wrapping up we could not have had a better experience anywhere for our special day and this is reinforced by all the great feedback from our guests (local and imported)’.

Rubbish DisposalNukara arrange the disposal of all rubbish. Please use bins provided to place rubbish and our friendly gardening team will take care of the rest.

Drinking WaterRain water is available, but you will need to supply your own bottles or carafes.

Trestles & Plastic ChairsThere are 20 trestle tables (1800mm x 750mm) and 110 cream plastic chairs available which do take chair covers. It is the hirers responsibility to ensure they are left clean and returned to the Stone and Timber Barn storage areas.

Heating and FiresGas heaters are provided for use during your wedding reception. During open fire season (1 May - 30 September), fire wood is provided for the main fire pit.

Tea & CoffeeComplimentary tea and coffee is supplied for the duration of your booking.

Accommodation The Bride & Groom will enjoy our spacious king size chalet positioned behind the Creek Stage. In addition, immediate family (up to 8 people) will receive complimentary camping fees.

Event Set DownWhile we employ friendly cleaner’s, it is the responsibility of the hirers to ensure all areas are left in a clean state or extra cleaning costs will be incurred and deducted from your bond. The kitchen must be left in a clean state with floors mopped and benches wiped down. The Barn area must be swept. Cigarette butts and bottle tops to be cleaned up from outside grassed & gravel areas.

CampingPeople say that Nukara is one of the most peaceful, tranquil and senses activating experiences they have had! An abundance of flora and fauna can be seen and varies from season to season and you will be treated to sleeping under a billion stars.

Camping is permitted with any venue booking however we do not take site bookings. The camping grounds are big enough to accommodate anything from a camp bed or swag to extra large buses.

Some camp beds and tents are available for hire.

Camping fees are the responsibility of the hirer & to be placed in the Fee Box in Barn Area.

All of our guests were in awe when they arrived - the drive up from Perth for the weekend was well worth it. No shortage of areas or photo locations to utilise, we could have spent a whole day shooting at all the beautiful locations if we had the time.

What does Nukara Exclusive Hire include?Weekend BookingWeekend Nukara Exclusive Hire provides you with a 3-day booking including Friday for set-up, Saturday to enjoy your celebration and Sunday to set-down. There are no restrictions and plenty of opportunities for gathering with your guests during this time. Your booking includes exclusive use of the Bush Tub Oasis, Fox Dam, The Barn, Public Amenities and Camping Grounds.

How many guests does Nukara allow?Depending on the style of your wedding will determine the number of guests. There are several areas you can utilise to hold your celebrations and we’d be delighted to show you around on a site visit as the number of guests per area will vary depending on how you’d like to set it up. The small area seats up to 100 guests while the larger area seats up to 160 guests. However cocktail style weddings will allow for up to 500 people.

Is there a bus charter available? Yes, there are several options available. Please visit our Website: www.nukarafarm.com.au, Local Products and Services page for full details.

Is there accommodation nearby for our guests?There is one chalet available for the bride and groom or guest of their choice otherwise, Nukara is conveniently located just 25-minute drive away from Geraldton. 9 caravans are available for hire through Geraldon Camper Hire: https://geraldtoncamperhire.com.au/ or check out the Glamping Tents available through Glamping Co: https://www.facebook.com/Glampingco.au/.

Is camping allowed?Camping is available with the option of venue hire only. Our unpowered camping grounds are big enough for guests to bring their travel buses, caravans, campers or simply a tent or swag. Most evenings offer a view of a billion stars for your guests to enjoy. Camping is $15 per adult and $8 per child. Guests are welcome to bring generators if they choose.

Are open pit fires allowed?Nukara has unique fire places for guests to enjoy between April and September. Otherwise there is a strict NO FIRE policy.

What are the bathroom facilities for guests?Nukara has unique bathroom facilities including male, female and disability rooms. The male and female rooms offer 2 heated bag showers and 2 toilets. The disability access has 1 heated shower bag and 1 toilet. All our facilities are run from rain water . The rooms are big enough for those wanting to finish getting ready for the big day including large mirrors and tiled floors.

Do you have staff on site to assist?No, Nukara is venue hire only; we don’t have staff employed on site. Someone will be available to assist you on your arrival, various times throughout the hire and are contactable for emergencies, but not in attendance.

Can someone set up the wedding, decorations, table settings etc?While we don’t have staff on-site at Nukara, we can recommend several experienced wedding organisers that will work with you to design your perfect day. Can we supply our own food or caterers?Yes, Nukara is fully self-catered so you may supply your own food and alcohol or hire a caterer/chef to arrange this for you. Our commercial kitchen is well established with large ovens, fridges and plenty of work space. Please let us know if you are self-catering so we can arrange for a kitchen run-through prior to the event.

Frequently Asked QuestionsIs there fresh drinking water available? Yes, rainwater is available but you will need to supply your own bottles, glasses and carafes.

Can we supply our own alcohol?Yes, Nukara is fully self-catered so you may take advantage of selecting and purchasing your own beverage list. Is there room for a dance floor? Do we need to put down flooring?While there is not a wooden dance floor, there are plenty of options for dancing areas both inside and outside of The Barn.

Can we have rose petals, rice, confetti etc?Sorry, strictly no rice or confetti. Fresh flower petals are permitted but you are responsible for the clean up afterwards.

Are there any shoe restrictions?While there are no shoe restrictions, Nukara is farming ground. We recommend sensible footwear and advise against stilettos as the ground is uneven and difficult to navigate outside of the function areas.

Are children permitted at Nukara?Children are most welcome however they must have adult supervision always due to the danger of unfenced creeks and dams.

Can we bring our pets?The bride and groom may wish to include a significant pet in their photography sessions however they cannot spend the night at Nukara. We have a strict NO PET policy at Nukara for any guests.

Do we need to organise cleaning?While we employ friendly cleaner’s, it is the responsibility of the hirers to ensure all areas are left in a clean state or extra cleaning costs will be incurred and deducted from your bond. The kitchen must be left in a clean state with floors mopped and benches wiped down. The Barn area must be swept. Cigarette butts and bottle tops to be cleaned up from outside grassed & gravel areas.

What time must our wedding finish?Whenever you wish – as Nukara is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay, there is no curfew. You may finish your wedding at a time that suits you, or celebrate all night!
