    SUMMARY: Although 2015 special event dates, representing events produced andmanaged by the Town, were approved in the fourth quarter of 2013,

    one date revision and two new events have formally been added. ArtsAlive moved two weeks later in 2015. OCtoberfest and Prime TimersWeek are both new for 2015 and beyond.

    OCtoberfest (Halloween in OC) is a combining of existing events andwill be supplemented with additional attractions over the comingyears. Those additional attractions may include costs as well asrevenue opportunities and remain in concept form at this time. Aformal presentation shall be made to Mayor and City Council at a laterdate to unveil event details. The Prime Timers event will follow asimilar approval path starting on a small scale and build over thecoming years.

    The 2016 dates follow suit with 2015 , including the two new additions. FISCAL IMPACT: Not applicable

    SUMMARY: Due to actuarial gains under the projected unit credit method,pension plan funded ratio increased from 78.4% to 85.8% forthe public safety employees plan and from 85.2% to 90.7% forthe general employees plan. Annual recommended employercontribution for FY15 is $1,057,783 less than the FY14 employercontribution. The recommended contribution for retiree healthplan (OPEB) is $534,000 less than FY14.

    FISCAL IMPACT: Actuarial recommended contribution is $1,843,098 less thanbudgeted for the General Fund & $228,566 less than budgetedfor all other funds.

    RECOMMENDATION: Approve contribution to Pension Plans for FY15 per CavanaughMacdonald actuarially recommended contribution of $4,624,891per Town funding policies and approval of Pension Trustees at

    their meeting August 6, 2014,. Approve contribution to OtherPost Employment Benefit (OPEB) Trust for $3,083,000 peractuarial valuation prepared by Bolton Partners.
