It’s so nice to see the trees and flowers in bloom and the weather warming up! Our June calendar is jam-packed as well with lots of fun and interesting activities. Be
sure to check out all the events we have planned, and plan to stop by and join us!
A special celebration We would like to invite you all to a special reception in celebration and remembrance of our long-time director, Gaile Rollins, who passed away a year ago this June. We will be holding a coffee and pastry reception, and unveiling a beautiful portrait to be hung at the Princeton Center. Friends and community members are invited to join us on Wednesday, June 4th at 10AM in the Princeton Senior Center.

June 17th at 11AM Sunrise Senior Living will be presenting a program on “Heart Healthy Living”
June 18th at 1PM What better time than June for a STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL. Join us for some yummy seasonal treats and enjoy some music with our friend Patsy Molica.

Elder Assistance Programs
Legal Aid: Provides free civil legal assis-
tance to elders. Expertise included: Medi-
care disputes, landlord/tenant or housing
issues, legal documents—health care prox-
ies, power of attorney, homestead declara-
tions; housing, utility disputes, domestic or
financial abuse, and other legal issues.

Safetynet by Lojak: A service for people
at risk of wandering. This service is provid-
ed for a fee by Princeton Police Dept.

Do you need assistance? A COA
volunteer can pick up food supplies for
shut-ins. Just call the COA office prior
to the distribution date.
Emergency food supplies are always
available. We have a permanent table
set up downstairs at the Princeton
Center gym. The back kitchen door is
open daily 7-3. Please stop in and
help yourself to what you need.
Meals on Wheels available to Eli-gible Seniors. Please call COA
office for application
Do You need Medical equipment?
We have the following available for
someone in need: Hospital Bed.
Mobility Scooter. Walkers, com-
modes, incontinence supplies etc.
Transportation and Shopping - ELDERBUS
Check out the trips offered through ELDER-
BUS! 1 800 321-0243
Available for all Seniors. In town Senior ac-
tivities and out of town shopping and appoint-
ments. Call and reserve 48hrs in advance.
Shopping Fridays weekly—alternating Big Y
and Market Basket each week. In-town
$1.25 per trip, out of town $2.50.
Elderbus is available to transport you to all
Council on Aging activities in town! Call Eld-
erbus for information and reservations.
Senior SAFE—a new program being rolled out by
Princeton Fire EMS. Fire and safety education—
valuable information for us all. Fire safety and
readiness tips. Staff will visit your home and assist
with FREE replacement of smoke/CO detectors and
batteries at no charge. Please call COA office if you would like more
information. We want to keep our seniors safe! Please mail in form to
COA office or drop at Town Hall to schedule a visit.
