New Name (for Erin)Wedding bells rang in Banff, Canada on the 9th December! We shared an intimate, joy-filled, relaxing, honouring day with family and friends. We were blown away by God’s answers to prayer. Not the least of which was the phenomenal spring-like weather!

New LocationLast autumn, God confirmed for us we were to move south of the border. What that meant exactly we weren’t sure as we headed back to Ireland in the new year. However, as God so faithfully does, He has been leading us one step at a time.

New FocusWe have learned there is an incredible lack of spiritual resources here in Co. Mayo. It is our desire to be a part of responding to that need by empowering, encouraging and equipping people to follow Jesus wherever they are.

FAQ’sA major theme for us in our first six months back has been discernment. Many of the questions people frequently asked us were the same ones we were asking God about too. While we move forward knowing there is much God is still unfolding, here are the areas we are experiencing greater clarity and direction.

Where are you going to live? With the help of the amazing hospitality of friends in Roscommon, we continued our search for a new home. We thought we’d be more central, but we were drawn to Cong, Co. Mayo the moment we drove into the village. We found a great cottage nearby. It had been sitting empty for months. After we took it, the property manager told us the phone had been ringing off the hook with people interested!

When are you having kids? You were thinking it, weren’t you!No updates in that department as of yet. We’re thoroughly enjoying our first year of marriage together. We’ll keep you posted!

Any chance you’ll move back to Canada? to England? At this stage, no. And, never say never :) Part of discerning where to live was whether or not the move to the Republic of Ireland was short or long term. We’ve landed on the latter. While Ireland is very warm and social, it takes a long time to develop relationships. We recognise if we’re to have a meaningful ministry here, we must be willing to commit indefinitely.

What does an average day look like for you?Average days don’t really exist for us. The following page has a snapshot of what some of our days have held these last few months...

Are you still part of YWAM?Yes. We continue to connect with the wider YWAM network in Ireland through being on the National Leadership Team and our staff retreats. In May, we travelled to Harpenden for a regional YWAM gathering of staff from the UK and Ireland. The first in over 20 years!(Tent City pictured left)

When can we visit? One of our greatest joys in moving into our wee cottage has been to share it with so many friends and family for dinners, tea times, and overnights. Drop us a note at our new contact info. We’d be delighted to put the kettle on or get the guest bedroom ready for you!

How are your finances? Many people have very kindly asked how our funding is these days and have been so generous! We had a hard time providing an update on that question before moving. We heard it was more expensive living in the Republic, but we didn’t know how that would work out for us in actual $$’s and €€’s and ££’s. We now know we need an additional $1400CAD or £690/month. Would you consider partnering with us? Donation info is on the front page.

How can we be praying for you?• Ongoing wisdom, favour and open doors for where and with whom we should be investing• Smooth process in immigration (Erin requires a family permit to stay) and getting a

medical card• Increase in finances• Working not by our own power or might, but by God’s Spirit

Thank you, thank you for joining with us on the journey. We certainly don’t walk alone! Love, Chris & Erin
