Dates to Remember

Thursday 12 August

Hero Day

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your continued ongoing support of our current situation. I am aware that all families are

doing their best. Our SEESAW online engagement statistics doubled with details of conversations with families paint a picture of the amazing work our community is achieving.

We miss the face to face aspect of our roles as this is why we became teachers in the first place because

we love the day to day interaction with students. However it is such a joy for staff to participate in zoom

lessons and receive evidence of the learning that is happening at home.

During this time whist we are learning from home we are still required to keep attendance records for

all of our students. We have an expectation that at least 2 pieces of work are shared via SEESAW or

email each day in order for us to mark students as present at school. If you are unable to engage online

wit SEESAW and upload 2 pieces of work each day your child's class teacher will be in touch to see how things are going and discuss the learning that is happening at home with your child.

If you are struggling, please do not hesitate to contact the school to let us now how we can help or

support you. Also, bear in mind there is huge value in playing games, going for a walk, cooking or just spending time talking to your children.

Whilst some teachers are at school supporting student supervision others are at home supporting online learning. All are continuing on this learning journey as lifelong learners.

In week 3 we celebrated education week. The theme for 2021 is "Lifelong Learning" A special video was

shared via seesaw celebrating the hard work and effort students and teachers have made in 2021 so far. Staff continued to learn online too with our weekly professional learning sessions via zoom.

Please try to join our assembly webinar on Wednesday at 2 pm.

School Photographs

Our school photographs have been delivered to the school. Unfortunately due to the COVID restrictions

we will have to hold off on delivering to families them until we return to school. Sorry to keep everyone

waiting, your safety and well being is our priority.

Zoom Assembly - Wednesday 11 August 2pm

We will be attempting an assembly via webinar (similar to a zoom) next Wednesday at 2pm. We hope to

share some examples of student work, our Education Week video and provide some achievement

awards.

Hero Themed Day

During this challenging time, we have all had to ‘step up’ and be a superhero. This might be a superhero

at helping at home, a superhero at getting our schoolwork completed or a superhero at turning off the

devices and spending some moving our bodies outside. To celebrate this within our community we are

asking you to create your own superhero and share a photo or video on Seesaw. You can dress up as the

superhero, create an image or presentation the limits are endless. We only have one condition you must only use what you have in your home.

What you need to know:

Who: EVERYONE

When: Thursday 12 August 2021

Where: Wherever you are learning

Dress code: Superhero outfit (really anything, let your imagination go wild).
