Josiah was second in the Franklin Cup Kidz Cartz race held at Alexander Park on the 10th of April.

Nathan attended the New Zealand National BMX Championships, which is the biggest racing meeting in New Zealand, held annually, to determine each riders national ranking for the current season.

In the 10yr boys age group consisting of 47 riders: Nathan had 3 races (heats) requiring a top 4 finish, he achieved third in each heat. 1/4 final race, to progress to semi finals ( New Zealands top 16) required 4th or better, Nathan confidently claimed 4th. Semi final race, again to progress to main final (New Zealands top 8!) required 4th or better, Nathan had a fantastic start & first straight and came out of the first corner in 3rd place, he made a small error and finished the semi final in 6 place, narrowly missing out in a spot in the main final.

Nathan put in a fantastic effort, and showed huge speed & skill with smart racing lines, which earned himself a ranking of New Zealand 11 (out of 47 riders)

Emily was awarded Reserve Champion for jumping in the "Junior Novice Riders 15 year olds and under" at Whitford Pony Club - Easter Open Ribbon Day. She competed against 21 other riders (20 were teenagers). She was the youngest rider in this ring and on the smallest pony.
